So an IG or autogun cultist unit would be hard out of the box. A pistol/ CC unit is doable. Of course if you have enough bits anything is possible.
In every box you'll get:
3 Shotguns
3 Sawn-Off Shotguns
3 Lasguns
3 Autoguns
3 Laspistols
3 Stubguns
3 Autopistols
3 Chainswords
3 Daggers
3 Axes

As far back as the Confrontation days, Necromunda was all about freakshow proxies fighting territorial battles for the equally absurd techno-feudalist houses. The original Confrontation figures could have been ripped straight out of the Judge Dredd universe (even the names, like Brats and Juves), while the later Necromunda figures were a mixture of 80s and 90s action/sci fi comic and movie cliches writ large.
The Delaque aesthetics have changed massively from that edition to today, but other than that specific change, I don't see much difference beyond the visual updates? Even back then, the Orlocks were still a biker gang cliche, the Escher were still techno-Amazons, the Goliath still 'roided out Arnold Schwarzenegger archetypes, the Cawdor still crusading luddite puritans, etc.

Original Delaque - felt like the Gramercy Riffs from The Warriors. Power and information brokers.
Current Delaque are different.
Both are good. Both are cool. But wanting Original Delaque back isn’t unreasonable in the least.
Every gang had their aesthetic and niche tweaked somewhat. Delaque got the biggest overhaul.
One can like or even love the current Delaque look and background, and still miss the original, as the two are really quite different.

I actually really like the new delaque aesthetic in principal... I just wish they wouldn't have made them so tall. If they were normal height, they would have worked really well as just as update.
Obviously, the lore change is a different matter.

Agreed. I don't care for what I've seen of the new background. It's been a factor in keeping me away from the game, which is a shame because I used to love the original.
For the time being Necromunda is nothing more than a source of nice models to me.

Really?? You don't see the difference. Goliath were roided up guys, now theyre mostly vat grown short lived abhumans. Escher (which were already the weirdest faction) are now necromancers. Van saar are no longer regular techies, but are cancer ridden, super advanced technologically and in possession of a stc. And let's not even talk about delaque. Sure they kept the same archetype for the most part, but they cranked it up more than a few notches. The difference between the old gangs and the new one are as massive as the ones between a housecat and a tiger.
But back to the topic of the new releases. Market is ace, will buy a few of them. Scum are also good, but lacks a bit of options

I feel this is how most of us will use them. Dont think that a gang armed only with autogun and autopistol will appeal to a lot of people. Overall, i like them, but still think it's a bit of a.weird move to use a plastic slot for them and not something more iconic like scavvies

"Outlander" gang will be the gang that use any models you had, just like Chaos and Venator. The Hive scum kit is just flavor and not really need for the Outlander gang at all. Without a leader and some decent high end weapon, you can't really make a great team with just the box. But that give me hope for the chance of a Bounty Hunter kit, hopefully with a normal sprue, less body and more options. As a kit being so limited in weapon choice, it's easy to fit all (of the useful weapons) into a half sprue and thus save GW lots of time and investment. As Hive scum to use in the actual game, having 12 is overkill and I'd prefer them cut down to 3 per sprue but up the quality of the model to be on par with the FW hired gun.

Eh, I don't know if that hard. Use shotgun barrels on autopistol to lengthen it, pretty easy conversion to AK like autogun. Then glue slightly filed laspistol to remainder of the shotgun, will look pretty similar to HH lasrifles. 4 rifles per 4 bodies, all you then need is one necromunda upgrade sprue of your choice per 2-3 boxes for special weapons/extra rifles and you have okay IG squad.

Yeah, dunno, we can be as glib as we want to, but the fact remains that the '94 game was much less outlandish than what we have now. Plus, the focus of the setting moved from underhive gangers duking it out to build and keep turfs to house deniable assets waging proxy wars.
Also, the above pic is like, casual friday for 40k

I'd have to say it was a product of it's time. The gangers and the things they did were quite outlandish at the time they were created.
But yes there was a certain shift from house gangers to PMC wars.

No, I gave you benefit of the doubt and tried to pretend you had an argument to begin with. You're right, my bad, you had none.
Anyway, if you cant realise that the freakshow factor has been cranked through the roof in nucromunda
And it's good. They finally look like a setting 40K years from now, not clowns from 80s TV show that outside a few lasguns and plasma pistols use 20th century weapons. Seeing GW couldn't really alter their guns without complains, they decided to adjust their background a bit. If you can't realize why some people might prefer that to neonazis fighting bike gangs and KKK wannabes in 80s Hollywood C-movie, I don't know what to say.

Well, you just agreed with my point that the setting is a lot more outlandish than it was before, so I' don't get what you were trying to prove with your previous comment
And ive never said that i dont see why some prefer the new setting than the old one. Only that i much prefered the older one. But i guess strawmanning is part of the trolling handbook

Fluff and rules updates are just an excuse to shift an expensive house book at every clan release so I would not worry too much with what they write.
Remember guys when WFB was nuked and fluff went into AoS bubbles of reality? Yes thats what potentially can happen each "update".
I think if you really liked the old fluff better than the new one stick with the old, its like you read a good book and you know theres a crappy movie about it, dont watch it.

True for the.most part, but fluff does affect the rules and the models. I absolutely despise these new fish things for delaque, and the undead escher, but they exist in the game, so i dont feel it's right for me to ask my opponents to not use them.
Anyways,.i don't want to sound too negative about nucromunda, there's a ton of things that i like in it and even if i criticize some of the new.additions, its still my favorite gw game and setting

I know exactly where you coming from, its specially hard if you love the system. I mean Im still coming into therms of calling orruks to orcs and such...
I think the more parts you skip the more you run the risk of ending up outdated with the system that you like, to the point you barely recognise it, it happened with my fantasy.
You end up in a strange limbo where you have a clear image of say Delaque stuck in the past, yet everyone is doing fish, so doesn't exist anymore.
