Edit- the campaign was halted and has now restarted. New link below.

Still interesting to me, still gimmicky, and now with a bit more direction in terms of stretch goals and interesting upgrades and stuff. Looks well on the way to being funded this tine as well.

Original post below....

Another day another reasonably interesting temptation on kickstarter

This time it's an all in one portable paint station hobby tidy thingy.

Possibly gimmicky, but I am a sucker for nicely engineered storage solutions. Also comes with a bunch of wet palette stuff that is of interest as well. I have been thinking about dipping my toe in that type of thing, so this might tip me over the edge.

Please excuse any spelling errors. I use a tablet frequently and software keyboards are a pain!

Thanks Kid_kyoto. My internet-fu is weak...

Additional notes, 48 paints apparently fit in the side sections. It looks like the vendor is contemplating making the wet palette lids white to make it easier to use the ink/wash dimples therein.

Brushes and other round tools can get stuck in the hangy section in the middle and it sounds like a wall bracket for the hangy thing will also be provided for multi use of the module.

Tool cups in the top can double as water cups.

Comes with 2 wet palette thingies with associated sponge and 50.sheets of paper.

Yeah that's gonna be a head-turning $95 shoebox for sure until the first time you apply slight force to it and it transforms into plastic shards.

I give it a B in the dumbass overpriced novelty tech category, I'm afraid it loses out to the vast array of $20 metal sticks and hooks currently on offer for pressing elevator buttons without catching corona for people who don't own a pen or a house key.

The old meta is dead and the new meta struggles to be born. Now is the time of munchkins.

Who uses those anymore, isn't it all on your phone these days?

Previous comment stands. Just looking at that 3mm thick plastic handle that's supposed to hold the whole thing is giving me anxiety.

That is one stupidly overpriced caboodle... I love the massive amount of space wasted to allow hanging brushes, because they were too fancy to have them be simply banded to the side or something.

Not sure how you can conclude its wasted space when the hanger appears to be able to take 20 to 30 brushes and tools kept well separated and individually accessible. The whole of the rest of the unit is built around the brush hanger and I think it packages it rather niftily.

Bumped for the final few hours on the campaign in case anyone is interested.

They've made 200k and have about 2000 sets to deliver, along with a bunch of interesting sounding pdf tutorials and live painting sessions with apparent expert painters.
