So I decided to take up vostroyans again, and whilst I wait for my resin bases to arrive I figured I'd paint up a spare medic to see if I can still do it.
What do you all think of it so far? This is the first time in over 10 years I've tried to paint eyes. I couldn't get one of them to look right, so I decided that he's just blind in one eye.

Yikes.
Well I suppose he might not make a great marksman or spotter with just the one eye but I'd be a bit worried seeing someone with no depth perception coming to "fix" me with a honking great needle like that.

That's WHY he has such a big needle. Gotta hit a vein with it eventually.

Cheers guys.
I decided to redo the armour as in person it was REALLY gold, and REALLY shiny. It took the eyes away from every other detail, so I re did it with more of an aged brass look.
Should have some scenic bases turning up today so I'll be able to get a few more started, including some commissars.

Had my scenic bases arrive today. Got em all painted up ready to drill out the holes to pin my vostroyans to them.
What do you think?
