What books/material is there for Thousand Sons. I'm really interested in them and I'm making them my first army and I was wanting to know what lore books there are

They feature prominently in A Thousand Sons and Prospero Burns (both 30k novels). Not sure if there's an inexpensive way to get black book #7 but that's theirs. I don't think they've ever been the protagonists of their own 40k-era novel, though.

The Ahriman trilogy by John French.

It's an awesome book series and it's so tzeenchian it hurts.
Do NOT read before the 30k books, though, as it has some massive - and tragic - spoilers relating to Ahriman's behaviour before, during and just after the heresy.

I mean if you don't know about the Rubric already, I don't see how someone could've gotten into Thousand Sons in the first place. In fact, I'd say Crimson King massively spoils the Ahriman series and ret-cons it poorly.

Not the Rubric as an event, so much as his motivation for doing it and why he's so horrified by watching the legion fall to the flesh change.

That's been explained several times in the Codexes, that not really a novel spoiler.

....It really is. Because the truth isn't what Ahriman thinks it is.

Something also mentioned in the first telling of the Rubric event.

That he's been manipulated, yes, but I don't think outside the trilogy you see the sheer extent to which Tzeench has screwed with Azhek Ahriman's life to make Azhek the person he wants him to be.

'Ormuzdh Ahriman' gets a mention in a few other stories, but I don't think he actually features directly as a character in any of them; you've only got Ahriman's perception of events to work from rather than that of his 'brother'.
