Is there any difference between the models between the retributors, dominions, celestians and battle sisters models?

I'm about the order battle sister squad models because I know, regardless of points changes, they will be needed, but I am wondering if I can convert some of the battle sister squad's heavy weapons into retributors because that box only comes with 5 models and 2 cherubs and is about the same price as the battle sister squad box, which comes with 10 models and 2 cherubs.

There're different helmets for the Celestians - I think that's about it.

You'll miss out on certain weapon options. Only the Retributer box has multi meltas-- two of them, two heavy flamers, and two heavy bolters, with four bodies built to accept those six weapons. The Battle Sisters box has a heavy bolter and a heavy flamer, with a single mini optimized for a heavy weapon. The Celestians/Dominions box has the same options (not sure if they're the same model) as the Celestian unit can bring a single weapon.

I haven't tried to equip boltgun models with heavy weapons. It shouldn't be impossible, and might even be easy... certainly it will be easier that all the metal conversions we had to do for 20+ years. But even going that route you could only build Retributers with combinations of heavy flamers and heavy bolters. Any combination of two Battle Sister or Celestian/Dominion boxes will (I think) only build at most four heavy weapons, two heavy bolters and two heavy flamers, and two of those will be necessary conversions.

.

Thanks. Are the sisters and dominion boxes the same thing? Most of the models look identical on the box art.

The boxes are branded differently but appear to contain the same sprues. The box is 10x with a Superior with lots of options, one Simulacrum (or not, with two different things-on-sticks), up to two heavies (or not, and only heavy bolter and heavy flamer), up to four specials (or not, with four of each weapon available), and the rest with bolters. Use it to build a squad of 10 or two of five loaded out like Sisters (special + heavy) or with one like Dominions (4 specials)... Celestians are just distinguished by a head swap. You might have to get creative to force a second Superior, but the parts are there for it.
