As much as I like the paint job, I watch people die of covid as its my job , please don't make light of a disease thats killing many of your fellow Americans.

Agree with the above posts. The paintjob is great and I look forward to seeing this force grow and what models you add next however regardless of what you think of Covid, those personal opinions should stay just that: personal. Calling it a Scamdemic and naming an army of space-bug toy soldiers after it is in poor taste.

Yeesh. Calling it covid could be a tongue-in-cheek enough joke, but the 'scamdemic' phrase just makes it...I'd say 'poor taste', but 'no taste' would be more accurate. A friend of mine just lost both father and uncle to it. So no, not a good thing to say.

Folks, this thread is going to be on a very short leash. There's no problem with people showing off their armies. While somewhat tasteless, there's probably no intrinsic problem with the army theme (although avoidance in future of terms like 'scamdemic' would be advised).

But this thread is not the place to talk politics, or to discuss Covid-19 in general. Keep the focus on the miniatures, please.

Hive Fleet Jormungandr
Hive Fleet Leviathan

What do these have in common? Names of ancient mythical beasts and synonyms for really big. What do none of them have? Names of viruses. So no I'd say that naming your Hive Fleet based on a virus is not "perfect" in that it sticks to none of the typical naming conventions set out for Tyranids. That's not even taking into account how incredibly inconsiderate the name is on a social level.

Freedom of speech does not equal freedom from consequences. This isn’t a “SJW” issue, so much as a reaction to a *deliberately* provocative choice in name. *shrug* Play with fire, you’re likely to lose a few hairs.

I do like the colour scheme. Uncommon to see purple and peachy orange brought together so nicely. Good choice on the stone-like armour plates.

The thought police are out in full, it seems! Ever heard of such a thing called Free Speech? Anyway great painting, and the above poster was right; it's a very unique colour scheme!

Strange how free speech always is a one-way street. If you speak your mind in public you better be prepared to accept that people will criticise you. Free speech doesn't mean that only you are free to voice your opinion. Yelling "free speech" and "thought police" at every one disagreeing with you seems both juvenile and cowardly, if you can't take the heat don't start the fire.

Freedom of speech doesn't apply to privately owned websites either.
