Yep, those are indeed 3rd edition plastic guard models and metal LRs ^^. And also, yes, the 3rd edition box was awesome ^_^.

I've painted up what is the start of an Evil Sunz clan. Still a fair few boyz stands, Nobz and battlewagons to go. All these minis are from Vanguard (think there is one old plastic Ork boy in there). These are such great little trucks, you can mix and match the wheelbase and cab/trailer and I've added some crew as well as other little accessories like some crates and oil barrels (so the vehicle explodes in 80s action movie style when it gets hit)

Hey guys - have finished some more Evil Sunz Epic Orks. This time the Nobz for the clan and a couple more Battlewagons. Once again the minis are mostly Vanguard. Definitely recommend their Wagons they are excellent, I've combined with some accessories (barrels, containers etc.) and added some crew to each vehicle.

Just another 10 stands of boys and 2 more wagons to go! (phew!)

The barrels and crew really do add a lot to the wagons.

Honestly speaking, they're too big, and the integral bases don't fit in the Epic bases' holes, so that's a problem:







And then the mega orks, welll, they follow the trend ^^

Hmm, for a long time I've been kinda in doubt as to whether I've designed my heavily armoured Skinners too small. But I think I've gotten away with it

Lovely work Albertorius!

From my experience of scales being a little bit out (from historicals and things like that), I have found you can normally get away with it as long as they are in different units and not directly next to each on the tabletop - and even then it needs a close look (or a blown up photo) to notice the difference. So I'm normally quite tolerant of it..

Yeah, I'm not really bothered by it, but it's something to take note of ^^

Also, finished another test of Vanguard stuff:

Love the Chinoork! How is the miniature? I would love to get one at some point.

The giant squig looks amazing as well - another thing to go on the shopping list!

Gargants-wise there are a few options around now. There are the Nuclear Shrimp games one, I also got hold of a couple of 'Steam Gargants' from a private seller on the Tactical Command forum which are nice. Bigger than the classic ones, so they scale a bit better with the modern AT titans.

Hey guys - quick question

Adeptus Titanicus - have just got hold of the starter set and am building me up some lovely Titans for Epic. Does anyone know if there are any 'shield counter' type bases available for them, as we used to use for Epic? (3-part bases, you had a small roulette inside with the shield number and you can rotate to show shields remaining as you play).

The alternative is for me to get some micro dice or similar and just build a little holder into the base terrain on the Titan.

Very grateful if anyone has come across anything!

In other news, bashed heads against a friend's orcs. We didn't have time to finish the game, but it was fun nonetheless. Damn those heresy greenskins are tough, boyz with 5+ saves can be a real pain to remove when there's hundreds of them! Even the final air charge of my Deathshrouds, while reaping through over two dozen stands, barely dented the 'uge mobs while forcing them to break.

Next time, I'm bringing some artillery...
