GW:"Space marines got too many options to balance, therefore we decided to legends HH units."
Players: "why?!? Now we finally got decent plastic kits and you cut them?"
Chaos marines players: "Since when are Daemonengines 30k models and why do i have NO droppods now?"
GW" MONEY.... erm i meant TOO MANY OPTIONS (to resell your army to you again by disalowing former units)! Do you want specific tyranid fighiting Primaris? Even a new sabotage lieutnant!"
Chaos players: Guess i stop playing or go to HH.

It's such a classic Forgeworld blunder. I remembered a past Imperial Armour book gave those small Tau drone fighters 3 structure points each (making them, as-written, absurdly durable, about on par with the Marauder bomber).

The supply does not get to make the demands.

* was written by the GW rulesteam, so the endresult is even less flattering for the GW rules team because we now got fellblades performing WW2 manouvres.

Yeah, FW has nothing to do with this dud. It's all main studio work.

#ConvertEverything blog with loyalist Death Guard in true and Epic scales. Also Titans and killer robots! C&C welcome.

Ooof, Zarakynel is twice the price of a regular KOS for ... not much benefit.

Souleater Blade is still pretty good, but not good enough to warrant the price increase. Wounds down to 18 (only 2 more than a keeper and just enough to never hide behind obscuring terrain without being a useful amount). She has a 4++, but you can get that from a regular Keeper for 1 CP (remember Zarakynel costs 3 in addition to her points). Str 7, meh. T7 now, instead of T8. Everything is identical, except her "heal after the fight phase" ability is 1d6 rather than 1d3, which is okay I guess but not really helpful.

I'm just curious how the non-Legend Marine characters fared. Apparently Culln is only ever a Dread now.

I am astounded that people think the GW rules team would make a better job than FW. GW is so good at writing clear, precise, unambiguous rules

I mean, the rules i've seen so far are much more in line with traditional 40k than what the old ones were.
The 1CP cost thing apart, most of the units went down in price and lost their esoteric, out of place abilities (wraithseer's psychic powers for example)

I'm disappointed. Not at the nerfs to the Leviathan, though I think the pendulum swung a bit too hard toward nerf it's still viable with the lower point costs and easier access (no 'tax' points to field alongside a non relic unit in the same slot).

No, I'm disappointed that they still overlooked the Blood Angels Legion Leviathan with the paired assault cannons on the torso in lieu of the heavy flamers or volkite weapon options.

As it sits, I can't use my Leviathan as WYSIWYG, since there are no rules for the weapon configuration it's armed with. I can still try and field it and just say the assault cannons are something else, sure, but I wanted to field it in it's correct configuration. Maybe I'll get lucky and it'll be in the Blood Angels codex next month, but I sincerely doubt it.

C'est la vie. Maybe it'll be FAQ'ed. We'll see I suppose.

Take it easy.

You don't know me son, so I'll explain this to you once: If I ever kill you, you'll be awake, you'll be facing me, and you'll be armed.

You could play 30k with that 30k model (that's what I keep getting told when I bring up the Stormhammer at any rate).

Someone told me to do that with my IG Gorgon transport I bought a few months ago and I swear I twitched you have my sympathies, as does anyone else being told to just use something in 30k.

What is sad is that despite the complete steaming gak that is it's production quality and the questionable usefulness of it's content when compared to price there will still be some who give GW money for this piece of crap.

TBF I actually do play 30k, and it's a really fun game.

But that doesn't really solve the problem of units being deleted from 40k, does it? :/

I think the punchline is more that the Gorgon doesn't exist in 30K.

It is a dedicated transport option for Imperialis Militia and Chaos Cults...
