So if I understand it right the SW bike squad gets swiftclaws. Swiftclaws get berserker charge and headstrong. So +1 attack on the charge (yay) but there is no way to ditch headsteong due to how the datasheet is written? They mus always charge the closest unit?

Pretty much, no way to mitigate Headstrong for Swiftclaws anymore.

Well at least they are not forced to charge. +1 to attack is good though.

Ya, it seems this is in fact the case.

I just finished remodeling one of my two WG bikers into a regular swiftclaw and the other into a cpt on bike... one major promotion one major demotion XD .

As an aside, as "infinite" rolls is actually impossible even if the FAQ "allows" it, then it will always be a non-zero chance to pass them all. Eventually the two players will die. If they pass the game on to their decendents, they too will eventually die. And, at the end of it all, the universe will experience heat death and it, too, will die. In the instance of "infinite" hits, we're talking more of functional infinity, rather than literal.

RAW you can't pass the game onto descendants, permissive ruleset. Unless we get an FAQ from GW.

Swiftclaws do not have the Berserk Charge keyword.

I think I would have left them on the shelf until the change sticks for a few editions without a reversion to give them a WG leader. GW likes to fiddle this stuff back and forth too much not to wait and see.

My WHFB armies were Bretonians and Tomb Kings.

Not in the SM codex. There the bikes just gain swiftclaws if SW.

The newly released SW codex gives some units (ending in claw) berwerker charge and headstrong. Among them swiftclaws.

They do, they get the rule in the new SWs supplement under "army rules." Don't have the book with me so I can't show the page but it is there.

Edit: sorry, repeated what Niiai already said

True... but i figure,,, a cpt on bike is pretty nice to have anyways,,, and I magnetized him so it will be easy to play him as a WG anyways. As for the other one, I kept his SS so I think I may just magnatize it to swap with a chainsword anyways,,, so again, easy fix if GW changes it back XD.

I'm not familiar with the wording, but does it stipulate that they can only charge the closest unit, or that they must charge the closest unit?

Effectively, can they charge other units as well as the closest one, or do they have to charge only the closest unit and no others?

It might not be as restrictive as it first seems.

They have to include the closest enemy unit when they charge, but they can charge other units as well.
