I must be reading this stratagem wrong because it say's "then until that fight is resolved". Now does that mean this stratagem last the entire length of combat, because it doesn't say battle round, player turn or fight phase.

It would help if you could quote the full rule.
But no, it lasts until you finish resolving that actual fight, as per the definition of what a fight is in the BRB.

Cheers for the response, wasn't sure if your allowed to post the whole stratagem. Classic gw they could just state until to end of phase lol Automatically Appended Next Post: Use this stratagem in your fight phase, when a space wolves unit from your army is selected to fight. If that unit made a charge move this turn, then until that fight is resolved, each time a model in that unit makes a melee attack, add 1 to that wound roll. If that unit has 5 or fewer models, stratagems costs 1 cp, otherwise it cost 2 cp

Its unclear. GW could have screwed up, and missed to include the end of the phase part, or they really mean it to last until the fight is resolved, even if its lasts the entire game.

From the core rules:
“When a unit fights, it piles in, then it makes close combat attacks, then it consolidates.”
I’m not sure what the confusion is, the strategem last for the duration of the fight, not the fight phase. I don’t know where the idea that a fight can last for an entire game when a fight clearly ends after a unit consolidates.
Looks to me like the strategem is worded to prevent a unit from benefiting from it twice if it has some sort of fight again ability.

Looks like we need to talk about when a fight is resolved. The fight phase rules say attacks are resolved. What if the SW unit, after it consolidated, is still within 1" of enemy models, from the same enemy unit which they charged ? Is their fight resolved, or does it continue next turn ? Why did they choose the words fight is resolved, instead of attacks are resolved ? Why didnt they add until the end of the phase ? Maybe because its for the entire fight, which can last more than one turn ?

The process for a unit fighting, is simply that unit making all of its attacks once. Bear in mind you choose units which are "eligible to fight", and stratagems allow you to "fight twice".
So, Aash is correct, the stratagem being worded this way stops a unit from benefitting twice in one phase if it uses one of those stratagems.

The rules state, both in the Fight Phase and in the Rules Terms Glossary:
Fights: When a unit fights, models in that unit pile in, make attacks, and consolidate.
So there is absolutely no ambiguity here.
