oh ok, I just wasn't sure if the venatari, saggies and Aquilons were just made up by Forge World
They were. However, the Horus Heresy books are "canon" (as much as anything can really be declared canon without a literal
GW document indicating exactly which sentences of each book ever made are canon) because they were made by Forge World, who are a wholly owned subsidiary of
GW, whereas something like the Dark Heresy books by Fantasy Flight games are not considered canonical because they were made under licence by a third party.
As for Black Library, who knows really, especially the early stuff.
I have a sizeable force of custodes.
-2 termi captains (axe/spear)
-3 shield captains (2 spear/1 sword /blade)
-Trajan
-10 bikes (6 salvo/3 hurricane)
-10 Allarus (5 axe/5 spear)
-2 comptetor dreads (magnetized)
-2 telemons (all weapons magnetized)
-Aquilus dread
-Gallatus Dread
-4 vexillas (spear, axe, 2 with shield)
-10 wardens (5 axe/5 spear)
-9 shield/sword guards
-9 spear guards.
I pick my battles when it comes to magnetizing so I rather get extra guard rather than try to drill small magnets.
When it comes to those
FW units I mentioned, I looked in Blood Of Kittens and it seems that the allarus and regular guard are more prominent due to the lower points cost and stratagems.
When it comes to Aquilons and Sagiisttarum have you found out that they do something significantly better than the regular units?
I already bought them but I havent assembled them since I was strongly considering returning them.
