Subject: Re:Of Mecha and Monsters - Warrior Worker gang
Based off the March's Warrior Worker bodies, new bits for April's Angry Frontier Farmers is up.
Set includes 15x new heads, 2x shotgun arms, 2x pistol arms, 2x flame throwers poses, an assortment of farming tools-turned weapons complete with pitchfork and waving torches. Ideals for mobs of concerned citizens and or unruly cultists.

Subject: Re:Of Mecha and Monsters - now with 1% more physical models
Finally got a printer, Phrozen Mighty 4k, test printed the Bagman from my Jan release.
(blurry photo was trying to not get dripping resin on my phone)
Things learned so far:
My rafts should probably be thicker, if only to pry it from the plate easier.
Some of the smaller supports might be too small or need longer exposure (I used the default settings for aqua grey 4k).
The ones that failed were only supporting the tip of his coat so the detail loss was negligible. Also the coat is almost parallel to the plate so maybe too much suction from the FEP?
He still needs a bit more time to cure but turned out better than I thought...as in it didn't fail entirely.
The only other print was that tower thing that comes preloaded on the USB (no problems there).
It was dark by the time he was de-supported so no clean photos until tomorrow, along with preview renders of June patreon batch 1 content.
I skipped it but I should run an Amerilabs town test before trying to print the rest of the bunch.
edit: de-supported and cured pics.
It seems like part of the his bag also started to peal off along with the edges of his coat, they aren't on the same layer.
Spoiler:
AoBR marine for scale

Scatter doodads from May are still available on patreon for another week, first of June's content is up: some scifi ruins and grimdark scarecrows.
Later this month Frontier Farmer pickup truck and a bit more terrain.
Spoiler:
wip of things to come

Subject: Re:Of Mecha and Monsters - ridgerunner proxy and water washable woes
been working on a ridgerunner proxy for July, now with test prints!
I think I got settings dialed in, I'm happy with the details.
I could probably cut back on support placement on smaller side features. There's a quite a few islands that appear in the slicer and it's tough gauging whether or not the existing surrounding resin will hold it or if it'll fail against FEP.
I'd rather have redundant tiny supports resin usage than print fail on surface detail that's not hidden or load supporting.
The more we do this, the more we learn.
Spoiler:
No desupported images right now, I made the mistake of using waster washable on a hollow print, it has sufficient drain holes, and I used a pad sander to vibrate the final rinse (water was fizzing inside the container, broke some smaller supports). It's currently drying in a light-blocking can, as I don't have an uv LED to snake in there yet. As I understand hollow prints should be cured inside first because of offgassng? and water-curing is not really an option as WW resin as it will expand and absorb the water as it cures so may crack more easily, and there's no guarantees the light will get into the deeper crannies?
Thanks, Mr Nobody!
One of these months I'll do a set of bodies and skeletons for dungeon dressing or slapping on vehicles, eventually some aliens for trophy racks.
De-supported and cured the Vaquero print. As best as I can tell managed to get the inside of the model cured using these UV LEDs and a 9v battery.
Guess I'll know for sure in a few months whether it melts or not.
I've learned I can tone down on the supports, using more material than necessary (which is hard to tell in the slicing software) took 40 mins to get them all off.
Spoiler:
Still has some cleaning up and I have more upgrades and weapon options to print this weekend, but it's ready for painting.

Subject: Of Mecha and Monsters - ridgerunner proxy cured
First batch of August content now up, more warrior worker/cultist options, the Vaquero truck files are still up on patreon until next Monday, should be in stores later that week.
Spoiler:
More arms for long gun and special weapons coming later this month.
Hopefully the weather becomes less gross I can get some prints of these and the previous warrior workers done soon.
*edit: nevermind, I printed them, need to fix some proportion issues (too skinny) with this lot, rereleasing them hopefully sometime in September.
**edit: I never redid these as is, basically have to resculpt half of them. took it as a learning experience.
they're still up on my patreon, but if I have other plans for women-thematic gangs and armies going forward now that I have a few more years undermy belt and a digital warehouse of self-made parts to use.

More lessons learned, had multiple print fails on same plate around the same point but in different areas (probably not leveling?) Supports were light on some of the failures and parts that were cloned failed in the same ways.
I think it may have been too cold to print, water washable. It was supposed to be warmer but temps barely climbed to 70F, stayed cloudy so my workspace didn't really warm up like it does on sunny days. About an hour into the print I had to close the vents from sucking in pulverized grass cuttings and gas fumes from neighbors doing yard work, I think that reduced the temp even further because warmer air wasn't circulating in.
Everything else printed fine, maybe a little underexposed.
Good to know for Fall and Winter months if I continue printing then.
Blurred section is personal client work, nothing lude.
Didn't take picture on the plate, but three heads didn't even print, and the other areas did that squishing thing when supports fail.
Spoiler:
Aaand they're out of scale for 40k proxy fodder, I'll have to fix 'em.

Open topped version of the Vaquero is up on patreon until mid-October, presupports coming next week.
Spoiler:
open-topped truck body, 2x wheel options, full and half doors, 2x rams, driver and turret gunner bodies, heavy machine gun and grenade launcher, harpoon cannon, new style of engine air scoop, and 'cow' skull.
I'm going to rebundle this and the enclosed one together when it hits the stores so all the parts are in one product.
Early work in progress for October content: the Liberated. A group of former scifi-gladiators and servitups who are going through some changes.
Still need to finish building an enclosure, it's too cold to print reliably now.
I had an old tv shelf I was going to modify but it's 3cm shy of what's needed so off to the used hardware stores.
Looking at a thermostat and 100-150w ceramic heat emitting 'lamp' used in reptile enclosures, as a space heater seems like overkill (and dangerous) for a volume the size of a medium fish tank. Whereas something meant to keep consistent temps to not kill pets should probably work, right?

...I forgot to update the finished Liberated here, mutant gladiator characters, which can be found on minihoarder.
But they'll be on sale in a week along with other stuff there through December.
Not sure how much I'll post on cults3d going forward, between the GW policing trademark search terms but also it's just so laggy to use.
Spoiler:
Currently working on truescaled chaos proxies. Ishtartii Headhunter and *Worceror (warceror? hey, they get to make goofy names, so do I)
Enclosure is almost done, so hopefully more photos and less renders going forward. I would rather have these things in hand than renders of them, whole point of having the printer in the first place y'know.

Still up on patreon 'til mid-February, a proxy to metal boxes with a bit more character, the Neferrous battle tank.
The hatches and main turret are scaled to be compatible with existing model slots.
The weapons swivel and elevate/declinate, and have pre-cut slots for 3x2 magnets for quick weapon slots.
Still has some missile weapon/bits to add which will be updated to the store pages.
Not printing this thing until spring, the estimate on the resin slicer is ~14 hrs, the longest I've done so far has been 6.
it bugged me that a faction that's supposed to be liberated from techno-dogma still adheres to rigid construction templates; I get why one big company that's sunk a lot of money into modular injection molds would still use those designs, but 3D printing lets us come up with our own versions. This is just one of them, I'd like to explore more customized forms for different legion-themed vehicles, not just face swap.
And prototype prints for this month's Patreon content, Disposal Crew.
Kind of modular, they're designed so that the bodies can work with any legs; and the weapons all have fixed hand positions so they can work on any of the bodies included.
Pardon the garish colors, I'm slowly rebuilding my paint collection and have been mixing primary Army Painters with Golden-brand High Flow Acrylics.
Also have to relearn how to photograph minis with a phone camera.
I still have more poses and missing weapons, along with squad leader parts slated for later this month.

I have a summer sale on the stores until August 14th if anyone's interested.
Have a few more space serf sets out, some heavy wep grunts were just added to stores
Item Renders:
Spoiler:
also continuing cultist/civilian fodder I did a grimdark trash truck turned transport technical back in May, the Oxbull "Refuser"
Spoiler:
Print of v1, I've since modified the files in store since this. Part tolerance was a little too tight post-curing, they lined up fine after washing them, so the side hatches couldn't line up or weapons couldn't all slot in without more filing. So new one has looser parts, different side hatches and combines the middle hull section for ease of assembly. Probably just use the older one for terrain and painting tests.
And available until mid-August, July's patreon Brawler Space Serfs (complete with power squeegy and sprayer), no prints just yet.
Working through my backlog of products to print.
Serving up chaos stuff. Tweaking files to reduce support waste (I oversupport and they're harder to get off) but also beefing up thinner parts and enhancing the details so they paint better.
Other things to remember, check your lift distances before slicing bigger prints. Didn't have this issue with the Refuser but I packed the plate with heavier large surface area parts, towards the center, and completely forgot to allow more time for the FEP to release.
I'm not sure if faster or slower lift speed would be better for situations like this?
Spoiler:
Thankfully the worst of it is on the bottom of the tank body and only to one side, a track section took a hit (same side as the tank) but I'll just add some greenstuff for look like it's healing or something. Otherwise there's a slight gap to one side where the face section meets the rest of the tank body that I'll have to fill in.
And similar to the Refuser I'll have to go back and tweak the tolerances of some swivel parts as they're a little too tight.
*also remember to inventory everything you print. just had to fish out the small headlamp parts form the bottom of my waste water slurry, as I forgot they were in one of the rinse containers before I dumped it.

Assembled but not glued, still needs some sanding and gaps filled. will reprint some things.
Turns out it wasn't just the lift distance, the tear on the bottom and side happened because it was under supported on that side.
more angles, other than the errors I'm happy with the details. It's a little taller than a predator due to the current tracks.
I'll explore doing shorter option in the future.
Spoiler:
Also did some size tests for rhino veh variant glacis and turret ring mount plates.
My minty marines have been in stasis the last decade and their gear/tanks can use some cleanup and personal touches.
But also planning on alternative tank armor bits for loyalist and chaos rhino based vehicles.
Nothing copyright infringing of parts that already exists, but much like the toilets and farmers, things that add to the world building/conversion options hobbyists have. Things like angry face armor, different headlights, full armor/cameras instead of windshield, stylized top weapons, organic doodads, bodies of their enemies, etc.
Might even do fully new side armor designs; as other than the tracks and internal walls, I never really glued any of my rhinos together, so can do some plug 'n play.

corrupted spiky peeps
Spoiler:
anti-spiky peeps
Spoiler:
I have one photo of these I was able to take before I dropped the container and broke several bits have to get it off the phone.
Didn't have the opportunity to reprint them this year.
There's more images and bases/barrels/bits in the store pages
A few more characters and recent terrain I have to finish presupporting before I get them publicly posted.
Currently doing some multi-armed mutant miscreants.
Hopefully get back to actually printing in 2026, and get some painted photos out.
