I'd like to see Morghur's god form given a physical form.

I keep getting the itch to re-start Beasts because the Gor and Ungor kits are so characterful. Morghur's return would bring me back in a heartbeat.

Same. I have a square base army, but keep having the lure to build a round base version and Morghur would definitely push me over the edge.

Do we have info about Morghur in AoS in some form already? That sounds interesting.

IIRC one of the Beast sub-factions refers to Morghur as a God - so fair to say he probably ascended to Minor Chaos God status after the End Times.

Sadly we don't have that much afaik.

Morghurs soul survived, he has not manifested so far but spills mutation juice into the realms through warp rifts.
For his subfaction he is basically a proper god, with spawns as his most blessed creatures. So that is pretty close to how his hordes in whfb were, isn't it?

Playing mostly Necromunda and Battletech, Malifaux is awesome too!

For characters to see return, I think both Vlad von Carstein and Settra or Khalida as the ones that could have the most mileage.

Especially reimagined Tomb Kings as "non-Death Undead" would be incredible.

Seeing Orion/Kurnoth with the Kurnothi as Destruction Aligned Aelves would be the absolute dream for me though, representing the raw fury of nature as predators and hunters.

I'd like valten to come back, even if they did it as some sort of sigmar personification

While it would be neat, I think it's telling to their attitudes towards him that the writers had Sigmar specifically seek out Karl Franz to wield Ghal Maraz as the Celestant Prime over Valten.

Where did it specify that the Celestant Prime was Franz? I thought his identity was a mystery?

Settra / Tomb King return would have me beyond happy/excited.

Maybe Settra's promised afterlife was there in Shyish, warped by Nagash's influence but he managed to fend him off with his undying legion and unbending will, not enough to beat Nagash properly but enough of a hassle that Nagash couldn't commit to squashing them without risking much more important goals.

Would be cool to have Order aligned undead of some description.

Failing that, Kurnothi in Destruction (Wild hunter cares not!)

Gathering the Informations.

Lotta misunderstandings about Kurnoth here...
The Wild Hunt was a once a year thing, basically a giant Purge Night that was done before Orion went into the flames.
As the God of the Hunt, Kurnous embodies much of what it means to be Asrai and as such is held in high esteem by all the Elves of Athel Loren. In his mortal form, as the god-King Orion, his life is tied to the seasons. Born anew each Spring, he walks willingly into his funeral pyre come Midwinter. This is not before he has led his people on the Wild Hunt, a call of the wild that sees even the most civilised of the Asrai abandon themselves to their primal urges for its duration, allowing peaceful coexistence for the rest of the year.

You want "elves in destruction"? That would be Anath-Raema, the Savage Huntress.
This vengeful goddess is known as the Savage Huntress. Where Kurnous teaches his followers that to take from the forest without giving back is wrong, Anath Raema encourages it. It is said that she once had feelings for Kurnous but he spurned her affections and it was rejection that turned her heart to vengeance. Though her worship is frowned upon in the high courts of Athel Loren, there are whispers that the warriors of the Pine Crags have chosen her over Kurnous.

Kurnoth/Orion and Isha/Ariel were all about balance in the World That Was. That's the whole reason why they took the existence of the Beastmen and the industrialization of the Dwarfs and Empire so dang personally.

I would love to see Settra return in some form. Preferably in some way not working for Nagash, nor as a Storm cast Eternal.

While I would love to see Tomb Kings come back, it could be a problem. Ghoul King have kopied their lore. Bone Reapers have copied their visual look. Perhaps they could reintroduce the last generation of plastic Kitts (snake riders, sphinxes and tomb guards) under a city of sigmar army.

Why Settra? Well he was quite an unique character in the lore. Very harsh. He thought he was fair, but he was ruthless. He really hates Nagash. Last time we see saw him ge was ressurected and blessed by the chaos gods Mar hing into the sunset to get revenge. (I do not wish to see him as a chaos champion.)

Model vice I really loved the theme of tomb kings chariot fetish. The 4 horse cart with him in was rather unique, at the time. While the exalted king is stil available in AoS it is not quite the same. Even if they got some more support from GW, I would stil love to see Settra (and the last generation of khemri plastic kitts.)

There’s a part of me that misses those old school banners. Just a small part.

I hated when they’d fall off or get ripped in transport.

On one hand, I’m against too many characters coming back from WHFB, as I think AoS is deep enough to create their own heroes. But on the other hand if it is handled/written well I’m all for it. Like Eltharion coming back, but he’s still afflicted with The Curse of Years is pretty inspired in my opinion..

I agree but GW had some fun lore and some are easy to bring back. Souls in the Warp can come back. it was just a long waiting time.

Orion returning from his lost wander would be great. Pretty sure he is as Kurnotheal though so yay!

But Arkham got rewamped. He had a skeletan manticore with rules of a flying chariot in the last codex, if I remember correctly. Settra Stil has his in the army book. Cool picture though. And Arkham the black is stil around and kicking today.

The Light of Eltharion handed him a massive amount of payback from the End Times. He and Nagash were both broken and scattered. They'll be back, but for the time being they're both, for all intents and purposes, re-dead in the present.
