Alright, first time posting. Please forgive me if I violated any rules. Not sure if they're are any. I'm not one to read them off the bat. But here I go with the topic.

SO,

I believe I broke the Warhammer40k Story Line today by creating my own BootLeg Campaign. Or at least the attempt of creating one.
The Space Marine and Necron competing in a campaign setting makes no sense at all. It makes since as a platonic/casual match. 1v1 Exhibition Match. However, not in a campaign sense.
What I picked up on is that the Space Marines NEED to go up against the Tyranids to have any value when it come to creating a campaign.

As for the Necrons, I'm picking up that they are in a space battle. So it'll be like X-Wing Warfare.

I hope this helps WARHAMMER40k Community

Uhhhhh, okay? I would heavily suggest you read the forum rules or at least what the sub forums are for, because what you posted doesn't belong here. More in the 40k General Discussion.

Secondly, you do realize this is a wargame right? You don't have to strictly face factions that you think match the fluff, and I think 40k already does a good job of explaining plausible situations where the same faction fights itself or those who are allied with them nominally.

The only way this makes any sense is if Warhammer40k Story Line is some sort of app, probably a dating sim since OP specifically pointed out the encounter was platonic.

I believe this is the proper channel for posting. It's news that HAS TO BE spread across the community.

Because this is going to open up the entire Warhammer Story Line to a more factual accountability.

Cause when you think about it. The Tyranids can't fly into space. However the Necrons can. So the question asked now, who are the Necrons fighting in Space?

Cause then it may be the Space Marines. Fleet vs Fleet Space Warfare.

So now we have a new table top edition for Warhammer40k. Warhammer in space. Mirroring X-Wing

I'm very confused, and trying to decipher what it is you are trying to say and coming up with a blank. But Tyranids as a race can most definitely fly into space and have space battles.

No, that would just be story telling. Pausing to move models around and translating random dice rolls back into a narrative framework is a lot of extra work with no benefit to the story being told.

So now we have a new table top edition for Warhammer40k. Warhammer in space. Mirroring X-Wing

And that would just be Battlefleet Gothic. Which has plenty of necrons, space marines and tyranids already.

It makes no sense. They have no ships. So Tyranids have to live on planets isolated.
Or they have to hijack a host, which doesn't seem natural for the Tyranids to hijack a host.
I can understand possibly Energy Tunnels that transports them into new environments without them knowingly knowing.

I’ve got a feeling one of the rumour mill websites out there is going to use this post to say that Battlefleet Gothic is being relaunched.

This thread is very much "I'm 14 and this is deep." I think they don't know the lore, or the fact that Battlefleet Gothic exists. It's a space fleet battle game (like X-wing) with several tabletop editions and several videogame adaptations. The Tyranids are one of the main factions, with fleets of hive ships.

So Chaos Daemons would only make sense as Tyranids Primary Partners.

I'm kind of confused. I don't understand what exactly you're proposing. Is this some form of a homebrew campaign for 40k? Because that's not new, especially since Battlefleet Gothic existed a while back and some people still incorporate in larger campaigns to simulate the space battles.

It doesn't make sense. I'm not trying to knock out a third party table top company. Where I'm getting at, is that Warhammer HAS TO HAVE their own Fleet Game. So Warhammer40k HAS TO stay on top, and Battlefleet Gothic goes under Warhammer. Battlefleet can't exist without Warhammer Succeeding.

He's trying to argue for his own version of the lore. He's saying that factually the bug monsters can't fly through space therefore they can't possibly fight certain factions. This is a tremendous revelation that we aren't aware of, and we should spread this gospel.

Battlefleet is Tryanids gun.
That's the big dog that the Tyranids race are.

Does Jessica Nigri care to understand how business works? Like, why this is important and not fans ranting at each other?

Ummmm, 40k has done better in the last few years than they have in a long time financially. Without a fleet game. They may revive Battlefleet Gothic at some point in their specialty games range, but it's definitely not a necessary component for future success.

Nvm, this guy is definitely just gakposting at this point. Triangle of friendship and move on folks I guess.

I'm not sure what exactly you are trying to say here or if you're just trolling, but one of the great joys of 40k is that the universe is so varied and vast, pretty much anything can or has happened. Again, not entirely sure what you mean by "competing in a campaign setting", but if you mean just Necrons fighting SM, that's something that happens all the time in the lore and is normal. If you mean they're having something of a friendly competition, sure it doesn't make a whole lot of lore sense, but who's to say there aren't any friendly Necron factions out there now that they are thinking beings with feelings?

You can make up just about any reasons you want for something to be happening in 40k. I assure you, whatever you can come up with, there is some official lore that is even more ridiculous.

I present case number 1: a human of the Imperium literally becomes a Necron Pariah and retains some measure of himself through the process
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HIi_KR3jCpk
And yes, unless something has changed, all Dawn of War games are considered official lore despite the numerous lore breaking aspects, like a human becoming a Necron Pariah and speaking for the Necron Lord he serves.

Well if that's what he is trying to say he is flat out wrong. Tyranids in 40k can and will fly trough space. They are far from the only insect/bug race to do so in Science Fiction too.

This isn't a money grab. This is a proper expansion. And to organize and expand all other table top games.

This dude doesn't do anything to contribute to the story. I'm letting you know what is fact.

As in recently, the Tau Empire just wiped a Tyranid Colony Race.

The Tau Empire are Tyranids worst enemies.
