Not impossible but unlikely. The amount of resources a single star system contains is staggering, so resource driven wars are unlikely. Now, political and religious wars, on the other hand...

They shouldn’t have any need for raw materials. If they’re coming all this way, it’s because they’re interested in us (life on Earth). What that interest is, I can only speculate. Clearly they could exterminate or subdue us at any time with their orbital advantage, so their interest must lie along less obvious lines.

Why shouldn't they need raw materials?

Heck one of our own very reasons for going overseas on huge distances wasn't anything to do with other humans, it was woods, spices, minerals etc... Resources and wealth. Humans were a problem if you found them as they'd start claiming things were theirs first until you quelled their rebellious nature.

Perhaps they could use plant and animals for medicinal purposes, but that fits under the umbrella of “life on Earth”.

I mean they don’t need to come to earth to steal our water when their ships can grab enough from the rest of the solar system. They don’t need to come here for ores precious minerals or any of that.

Just this evening I've watched a Brian Cox show where he states that travelling backwards in time is impossible. Probably.

There is no gap in needing acceleration to speed up and deceleration to slow down, and that these require a net force to be applied to the object in question.

It could be political. Various factions observing Earth and trying to do the math on if inducting humanity into their organization benefited them somehow.

In truth though, this is nothing but the basest of speculation.

I think as soon as we are capable of inter stellar travel even remotely, we are b lining for the nearest goldylocks planet...(keplar 3 was it?) which we suspect is able to sustain life similiar to our own.

If its already occupied by beings who only just started taking their first steps into space, but also posses enough nukes to blow up their whole world we'd take our time and study their planet and others like it. If its not we'd study the planet to see if its suitable for habitation.

AND if we had the technology to send out intelligent robots we sure as hell would send intelligent robots with some strict protocols rather than humans that could well die... The meat vehicles we ride are not the most resilient.

Our robots/ AI even if they are spotted they would keep doing their thing, no doubt.
In process freaking out whoever/whatever was downthere.

Some stoned alien:
"Hey Zorg, do you think the tall lanky spindle bipeds with 5 fingers are real? Why would these guys keep randomly mutilating cows and abducting people and probing their ear holes?"

"I don't know Kra'chwaaa*clicking sound*... It doesn't make sense.. They don't seem to be trying to hide.. Why do they just randomly hover above the sea then shoot off!? Thats like... crazy maaaaaannn...... "

Meanwhile our robots be like: "Sample #18874 captured. Entering phase 2 of mission parameters Robot go brrrrrr"

Same reason we watch Animal Planet, it's just on the last episode the cats figured out how to split the atom, and this episode the mice are flinging themselves into orbit on solid fuel rockets. And the next episode? Stay tuned.

That said I do believe in aliens, not a believer in the ancient alien theory, except for our ancestors, looked up, saw something and recorded it. But I don't think aliens 'helped' with anything like the pyramids and such. I also think if some galactic life wanted us dead, we'd BE dead. So we are probably an academic curiosity.

There is a different plausible explanation. A UFO reveal is expected fairly soon and is part of the agenda. An agenda driven reveal need not involve any actual aliens or unexplained technologies. As the economy tanks a big distraction might be seen as useful.
As for the videos, small objects may appear to moving quickly against the sea if they are tracked by a fast moving aircraft above them. This is how a duck tracked on ground sensing radar (quite an achievement by the way) looks like a UFO.

A lot of the ancient aliens stuff makes more sense if you look them as religious phenomena rather than fortean science. Nephilim are not aliens, and demonic forces dont require FTL technologies.

Well of course they aren't and don't, because they do not exist.

As to the rest, I assume the agenda is to bring about Revelations after your previous prophets predictions about widespread violence in the US in November 2020 failed to materialise, as well as the lack of tsunamis on both coasts of the USA.

There is currently no evidence. There is conjecture, that anything funny in the sky is an alien, and any fairy or magical creature is an alien.

Ehhhh no. People aren't saying that anything funny in the sky is an alien or anything else is an alien. It's just a fact of probability that intelligent life exists outside earth. And without making this a huge post, there's good evidence, including material evidence that can't be hand waved as natural phenomena or mundane aircraft or sleep issues.

I didn't use the 'royal we'. Point is true though and I will not shy from it. I do believe the above, with good reason.
We, that is other Christians and me, not I plural, are not overtaken by the times. It is a most interesting age to be alive in, Biblical eschatology is something studied for centuries and it referred to a future time that is finally unfolding here and now.
I would love to give you links but it would break Dakka rules so if you want any PM me. There is a Biblical ministry know as 'watchmen' who take a holistic overview of current events from a religious standpoint. There are many false ministries out there, but with discernment you can find the real ones. Covid for instance was no surprise to me, because I had multiple sourced warnings it was coming in 2018 early 2019. One of the other topics mentioned from the same sources is the 'UFO deception'. Again I could explain what that means, but due to forum rules you will need to ask me privately. As with Covid the warnings were given long in advance, including from watchmen and women who were reluctant to broach the topic but were told my God to do so. Again the warnings started some years ago and the timeline is advancing.

Most Christian denominations do not believe in the "mainstream" interpretations of the "rapture." I wouldn't call those denominations that do believe in it fundamentalists. They're using extra-Biblical text, be it apocryphal or more something more modern, to justify these beliefs. I would argue, based on Biblical text, that such a belief is heretical as it is essentially a form of fortune-telling or soothsaying.

From the Parable of the Ten Virgins (Matthew 25:1-13)

But he answered, "Most certainly I tell you, I don't know you." Watch therefore, for you don't know the day nor the hour in which the Son of Man is coming.

Full text in spoiler.

Spoiler:

Then the Kingdom of Heaven will be like ten virgins, who took their lamps, and went out to meet the bridegroom. Five of them were foolish, and five were wise. Those who were foolish, when they took their lamps, took no oil with them, but the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps. Now while the bridegroom delayed, they all slumbered and slept. But at midnight there was a cry, "Behold! The bridegroom is coming! Come out to meet him!" Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps. The foolish said to the wise, "Give us some of your oil, for our lamps are going out." But the wise answered, saying, "What if there isn't enough for us and you? You go rather to those who sell, and buy for yourselves." While they went away to buy, the bridegroom came, and those who were ready went in with him to the marriage feast, and the door was shut. Afterward the other virgins also came, saying, "Lord, Lord, open to us." But he answered, "Most certainly I tell you, I don't know you." Watch therefore, for you don't know the day nor the hour in which the Son of Man is coming.

It is mainstream theology, and yes we can know of God's mind as He speaks to us.

for, “Who has known the mind of the Lord so as to instruct him?” But we have the mind of Christ.

Disease, famine, earthquakes, eruptions, war, social unrest, climatic events (floods, droughts, heatwaves, cold spells etc...)

You can pretty much put a prediction for any one of those things or multiple with vague statements of when and they will prove true. Or if not you'll find things that get close.

Heck most of the doom of civilization is something that's happened time and time again. The Azteks had the full blown climatic change leading to drought leading to famine followed by war and disease brought by Spanish invaders.

The only difference between then and now is we have world news and world coverage so you can always find a disease or war or famine or something. Heck because of how the news works there are many things that happen that we never hear about that are just as bad and worse than the things they choose to tell us about

Orlanth, are these the same people who predicted widespread fighting in the streets in the US in November 2020 that would lead to war, as well as earthquake/tsunami warnings on both the east and west coast of the US?

You know, that stuff which completely failed to materialise? And how many times previous to coronavirus were they predicting a pandemic which then did not materialise?

Someone who bets on the 100-1 horse at the races every time is not a genius or a prophet when one of them actually manages to win.

I also can't help but wonder why they are so fixated on the US. I thought God would have more vision and be more of an "entire world" kinda person. It couldn't be that they're based in Texas and are only using events that they would be able to easily see on their media and through research in their own language to try and make predictions of likely future events.

It's the same as cold-reading someone. Essentially the mind latches onto the bits that are proven correct and overlooks those that are proven wrong.

Even if the majority are proven wrong, the few that are correct are latched onto and focused on.

It's how many psychics can convince people that they are talking to their loved ones. The psychic just keeps asking questions or prompting answers in a vague sort of way. They only need to land enough positive results from the person they are reading to construct a story. And if they don't land any its a "the eather is in turmoil today and I'm not getting a good signal, come back next week". A repeat client they'll keep notes on - ergo - they build up more of a story and a picture of the person whom the client wants to contact.

Normally its something obvious to those on the "outside looking in" or observing, but to those involved its much harder to see.

The widespread fighting was predicted and accurate, and otherwise not predictable. Who would have predicted the CHAS even two years ago, it would have been impossible.
The rest are extant warnings..

It is on its way.
Also there was no false prediction of pandemics, I have not found any at all, only the accurate ones, which were double sourced.

It's global, I noted only some of many sources here.
