Considering the presence of Yoda and Seppies in these previews I'd say Republic. With some luck they'll be cross faction and available to both Republic and Rebels. Would make some sense, but now that the game is in AMG's hands I have no idea what to expect anymore. I have no experience with the company and the transition from FFG certainly hasn't left me with any confidence in them.

It could mean several things, and we'll probably never know why Mr. Eddy left/was let go/was asked to leave/got fired. As for the future of the game... the only constant is change. I have no doubt we will get a Legion 2.0, X-Wing 3.0 and Armada 2.0. What those games will be like, and how they will compare to the games we have now we won't know for a couple more years.

I doubt we'll be getting that drastic. Armada only just got it's 1.5, has a couple of things in the works I'm sure. Eventually a 2.0 would certainly be neat and welcome if it gets done well. X-wing 2.0 can run for a good while yet. Legion I don't know we'll enough to guess. Considering the world state, I think things are going to be slow to form at best. Even with vax and mandates expiring we get barely any traction in the stores on game nights. Folk show up for tournaments though weirdly.

So AMG releases constant news about the game on
Instagram
Twitter
Facebook.
There are plenty of ways to get it. I like it, the company embracing the internet age.

the problem with that is that so far it's not linked back to much of a single concrete location. If you miss it in your feeds, that's it. The only way I've caught like half of this last wave of announcements was stumbling onto discussions on various platforms started well after they were announced. There's not much of a single 'go to' place to find all this, let alone discuss it. FFG announced a ton of stuff in the same platforms but you could always just go check their site and hit their forum and get right into it. AMG doesn't have that going right now.

problem with modern social platform is that they are instant information sharing only, not longterm.
facebook= less then a day, twitter= less then a day, instagram= little over a 1 day, Discord= 1-2 days, reddit= depends on puplarity of the main thread, so anyhwere from 30 mins to 2 days.
forums is the only social medi that is suitable for long terms discussion and information sharing, and every serious company/group/organisation should have one even in 2022.

Agree with the first part, but I'm not sure what serious company actually has one anymore.

My main issue is that it is a pain to link from their images so updating threads here is difficult and on my phone impossible. Have not been able to do the recent Legion announcements for example.

You can always click on the companies profile to find stuff. I just did for instagram
Forums are incredibly hard, you have to hire moderators, and becuases its a compnay they have to be paid. Not to mention game specific forums limit discussion(I could not post a 3d printed models there as a proxie for example) and you could end up with toxic forums like PP did
Reddit has pretty much overtaken forums for games at this point anyway. why go to an officials forum when the reddit one has better stuff and is less restrictive.

They could just have a news page which doubles as an archive like FFG has. All of the longevity some of us are looking for and none of the concerns you mentioned.
To me a clear case of "how hard can it be".

They have that for MCP, but not for Star Wars.

Yeah. I'm not impatient for new releases or anything as I've still got loads of Legion stuff to paint, so I lose nothing while they take their time getting sorted out. Yet I can't help but wonder what these guys are actually doing. It's been half a year since their first announcement of the future of the games under AMG heading. Nobody expects new miniatures or games to get designed in such a short time, but developing a concept of how to proceed and getting the marketing machine up and running? Hard for me to see what's taking so long.

As we move into 2022 and beyond, we are excited to continue support of Star Wars: Armada by providing reprints of existing products and Organized Play initiatives. However, we do not currently have any new Armada products in development. We will provide additional information as it becomes available.
Anyways, here's the Infantry Support Platform:

To be fair, armada NEEDS reprints more then it does new ships, heck in my city, clone wars wave 1 still has not been restocked since december!, and wave 2 was less then 5 products in moust webs shops on release day and has never been restocked.
civil war ships have allso not been restocked since december, and the only ships still avalible is the bottom popularity ships.
They have big reprint issues for ALL 3 games and needs to sort that out! before making new toys.

I wouldn't be surprised to see the TIE Dagger (the triangle-wing thing) announced for FO as well. It's in a lot of the art for the new Y-Wing. Might also see a Resistance B-Wing or possibly a large-based ship for the Republic.
