Hi guys.

Been stressing over how to do these guys for a while now. Took a look at a few videos on greenstuff flames and finally went to work.
What do you think? Anything I could do better?

I really like them, you've done a great job of making them look like they are supposed to look. Are you going to do any more?

Thank you, that means a lot.

Yeah, I'm doing an entire 2000 point army like that. Have already ordered more greenstuff...

I don't expect to win a lot of games with them, since I'm going for models that look badass rather than what is "good". So hellblasters, suppressors, jumppack infantry and a dreadnought will be the "core" of the force. I'll post more pics once I've done more.

Fun little fact: I've used my wife's teeth for some of the bases!

My first three suppressors. Not sure about the flame at the end of the barrels, what do you guys think?

I love it! I'm planning to do a less intensive Legion of the Damned look for at least part of my SM army. More along the lines of the original models where the flames and bones were just cool armor.

Still, you did an excellent job with the ethereal flames that flicker over their forms and grow as they get closer to death. And even if it's not lore friendly, the skull heads are absolutely awesome! (Not that them having Primaris is either, but we're both doing that. ) Are those from the skull basing kit or old GW skeletons?

Very nice. How much?

The skulls are from the basing kit. I actually bought the kit long before I got the idea of making these guys, so I guess it was meant to be.
Here are the newest additions. The pic of the dread got very bright, the flames are the same colours as the ones on the other guys.

The smash captain is my favourite so far, I'm not sure why...

Now for the first five Vanguard veterans, and what space marine army would be complete without their Chaplain?

Went a slightly different way with the Librarian, as I figured he needed a hood. Had to decapitate a nighthaunt, but he didn't seem to mind...

Awesome stuff, but surely you have to do a chaplain on bike like Ghost Rider?

The chaplain on bike is on the to do list, I promise! As are the outriders that go with him.

So, I've noticed that my flames are getting bigger, the tactical marines seem a lot... angrier? than the first unit I made. I figure it must be because I've gotten a bit more practice with the green stuff as I go along.

More vanguard veterans, this time with claws and shields.

Very cool. Looking well scary. If models ever have a psycholigical effect on the opposing player, these will for sure. Great work.

Latest update, I have now finished (sort of) my 2000 point army.

These are the latest additions, I'll be posting a pic or two of the entire army soon.

And here is the entire army so far. I have them in a glass cabinet, so there isn't a whole lot of detail, but with the pics and the video, you should be able to get the idea of the whole force.

Hi guys.
Sorry about the long time away. Have you ever noticed that whenever you move, the boxes labelled "warhammer" seem to end up at the bottom, up against the wall somehow?

Well, I promised to show the whole army once I was done with them, so here they are..

But, where could you possibly have got all of the skulls from... ?

I love all of this! Love the Legion of the Damned myself and have brainstormed themed homebrew rules for them in 9th.

On the other hand, as one of the models I'm still looking to collect, seeing a converted PR39 hurts a little. X'D
