Both of my local game stores told me this afternoon that they aren't allowed to order any single copies of the 3rd E. Rule book unless they order a minimum 3 copies of Dominion.

Anyone else heard this from their stores? This is pretty gakky of GW to do.

Why? I've never seen a two-player starter box at the launch of an edition not sell out quickly.

The smaller store in my area still has most of it's indomitus stock. We have a lot of wargamers, but very, very few new ones. It's a small college town with very little disposable income. That's why it's gakky.

Advise the people running the store they should open an Ebay storefront and see if they can catch the brief wave where the starter box is sold out everywhere and going for $450 online if it doesn't sell in-store?

Good idea, however the local FLGS has scruples and hasn't ever done that. That's part of the reason I go there!

Or they could simply advertise them at the price they would normally sell them for.

At some point ignoring the obvious advantage of having access to an online market stops being about honesty and integrity and starts being about stupidity and/or ignorance.
