So!
We're told, in a few places, what sigmarite is but is the look/feel of it every actually described?
(I know that Stormcast are often painted gold but is the material itself ever actually described as such?)

Best we have is that there are numerous examples of weapons that by their names are made from it "sigmarite warblade" and the like. They all seem to be painted silver.

Sigmarite is made up of all the metal models GW stole from players when they destroyed the Old World and that's why Gorgnards hate AoS. So it looks like white metal models, duh.

It's explained (by Grombrindal) in the March 2018 WD that sigmarite doesn't have a fixed appearance / colour. It depends on the magical flux in the Realms when it is first forged. The colours of Stormcast armour are not (usually) paint on top of a silver or gold metal. Instead, they are the colours the actual sigmarite took on when forged. Sigmar himself can influence this to some degree, but not entirely. For example, the Anvils of the Heldenhammer have black armour because the sigmarite used to make their armour turned black due to the influence of a burst of dark magic released by Mallus (powerful enough to make it start spinning the wrong way for a while) during their original forging.

A little bit of righteous anger now and then is good, actually. Don't trust a person who never gets angry.
