Just painted these over the last week, two days of actual painting with the contrast paints, then a few days before I gave them a Aggrax Earthshade and Nuln Black mix wash last night. Pretty happy with the look, and will be sorting the rest of the fledgling army in the coming weeks, need to decide what colours their Kabal reinforcements are.
There is a unpainted Sisrter on the raiders base, but I'm letting my other half do her when she does her first squad in a few weeks so she matches the scheme.
Also a closer shot of my 'Three faces of Lelith' all editions of her, two have been converted to be Succubus (one of them has a simple conversion for the relic whip) and one will be used as Lelith, but the Cult of the Pain Eternal version. (I've noted the flash at that angle has picked up on every bit where the contrast hasn't settled right, but its not noticeable from above thankfully, and when I do finally get around to taking the army from battle ready to fully painted those errors will be cleaned up)
Overall, I'm very happy with the look, about ten hours of work, but I wasn't non stop painting, (partially watching Deadliest Catch last Saturday and then football on Sunday night) so compared to the time it took me to paint to get this many models to battle ready with acrylics, you'd be looking at bare minimum three to four times that amount of work, probably a lot more. So aye, I've learned very quickly to love contrast, because up until I started using it, what would most likely happen is these girls just wouldn't have been painted, or they'd have flesh, maybe another colour and that's it for months.
This will be now the third army I am getting painted to battle ready since early 2020. (Previous to that the last army I finished to any degree was in 2015 and I was painting that for weeks)
I'll expect I'll share more shots in here as others get done.
