Morning Dakkadakka!

Been trawling around for old gobbo gubbins, and I've found these. TBH, I think the price that's being asked for them is a bit much, so there's very little danger of me buying them as it stands but, for someone who only really witnessed the death throes of WHFB...
...what ARE these? Stickers? Paper? Are there gonna be a bunch of cool designs in there? Is it actually super worth it? Are these actually going for a fortune back in the UK? Am I just clogging up the forums with my nonsense again? Is this the wrong board for this altogether? Let me know! Haha

Thanks for looking!

Stickers, and probably lost their stickiness a while back. It is likely that you can find a PDF that has a them colored, and can likely in the original black and white color them yourself.

Don't get me wrong, they were good to use way back when, but obsolete now. You can find all sorts of decals and printouts these days. Even the old original sheet of banners that these came from is around somewhere where you can add color using the right software.

Adrift within the vortex of my imagination.

Unless you have a specific job for them, keep them in their package, quite collectable.

Back in the 90's the actual way to make cool banners was to use heavy foil, thicker than normal kitchen foil, spray paint it and add GW transfers. That works very well and you can mold a flow onto the banner. Mine still held up over two decades later.

Now I use GW plastic banners, but the above solution was much better than the cut outs or sticker banners GW made.

n'oublie jamais - It appears I now have to highlight this again.

It is by tea alone I set my mind in motion. By the juice of the brew my thoughts aquire speed, my mind becomes strained, the strain becomes a warning. It is by tea alone I set my mind in motion.

Cheers for the input guys! Decided that I'm not interested, as these are going for just shy of 20 bucks, and though I'm curious about the designs, they don't seem like they're going to be the thing for me.

If they ever do interest you, I am sure that they are floating around the internet as a PDF.

Stickers, which are used for banners or flags. 40k used them rather exensively with every bike having a tiny flag, and some of the 90s sticker banners for Sisters of Battle being quite sophisticated in design.

I had a blister of 90s undead/vampire stickers from GW, and they seemed super generic with skulls out of some 80s rock band.

Cool for their time though.
