I was browsing Merchoid just and found these in the recently added section.

Looks like there is a range of collectible coins coming out for 40K. 5 to collect, each one limited to 5,000 and individually numbered. Priced at £14.99 each.

Sisters of Battle:

Chaos:

Necrons:

Orks:

Given the style of them, it looks like these are made by Fanattik. I’ve had a few of their things before. Expensive for what they are, but great quality and production.

I mean, they seem kinda neat, but the coins also feel like something a late night tv ad would be trying to sell me

Yeah, I do like the ork coin quite a bit, but at 20 USD, (even worse in CAD), its pushing it quite a bit.

I’m normally a sucker for random tat.

But these are too rich for my blood.

I'd like them as a neat stocking filler, but limited to 5K each I suspect they won't last until Christmas

Are mints the 3D printers of collectable coins?

They're neat, but I do not understand the point. Why would I want any of these?

Would've considered buying a chaos one if it weren't trying to push the Black Legion on us like everything else chaos gets nowadays. What a pity.

Yeah, Abby spoiled it for me, too.

Black Legion is the main antagonist of 40k. Haven't you heard?

I can't for the life of me find anything that says what material these things are actually made of. Nor can I see where they are "individually numbered in Roman Numerals".

That's a lot of dramatic closeup shots.

Can't see why anybody would want these.

It's nice to have something to flip when you don't want to make decisions.

I'm having trouble enough working out what to do with the free ones from GW let alone buying some additional ones. They do look nice and shiny though.

They'll go well next to the Star Trek plates that James Doohan assured me would be a solid investment strategy back in the 80's.
