I've just got my first ever 3d printer - An Ender 3 V2.

So far it is going well using the Fat Dragon cura profiles, a bit of stringing that I need to try and calibrate away, but a really promising start.

I got mine from Creality UK and it was pretty reasonably priced, less than Amazon.

the ender 3 v2 is recomended by most people i know as a first printer. Its quite good as it comes and allows gentle modding. It also gives very good results when calibrated properly.

Yeah, it seems one of the most popular printer if not the most popular machine for noobs. But compared to the regular ender 3, is it really worthy the price hike? Is it really that better option compared to its older model? As a first printer, I mean.

When I got my Ender 3 Pro with the better board, flex plate and upgraded extruder, I thought it was worth the extra $50-$60 I think it cost, but any version should print great. Again, lots of upgrades you can print or buy cheap that significantly enhance your machine.
