Oh jeez that takes me back! Yeah, she really put the effort into breathing some life back into that army. I remember dropping off Dakka for a few years, and coming back for nostalgia sake. It was certainly a surprise to see that she was not only working still working on those units, but made a full-blown PDF codex.

LOL, well i am kind of biased For H.B.M.C. , afterall we have been on forums together since what 1996? when we used to debate the big 3 scifi shows-star trek VS star wars VS babylon 5 on spacebattles.com.

So much has changed in the last 25 years for us (now much older) gaming nerds.

Indeed, star trek was only TOS/TNG/DS9, B5 was in the middle of season 3, all there was for SW was video games the EU books and the original trilogy. it was 3050 and the clan invasion was upon us in classic battletech. and 40K was not even on my radar...fun times.

Today i want to recognize KidKyoto. Not sure how one person can know so much about every corner of the games and hobby space, moving all over the world. Love the thread about toys with hobby uses. I genuinely feel excited when Kyoto posts on a thread that I am following, because I have learned to value what this ‘naut has to say. Grateful for the insights, thank you KidKyoto!

Back when UK B5 fans were excited because the last four episodes of Season 2 were shown in the UK before the US!

A true treat.

Oh yeah we were all following the show in anticipation of what JMS was going to throw at us next. The graphics may look dated now, but the key writing and character acting were some of the best ever made for television. any time Londo and J'kar were together it dominated the scene.

PenitentJake. We agree on nothing, we're very different people, and yet whenever we get into an argument we manage to stay (relatively) calm, civilized, and on-topic.

I'm rewatching seasons 1 - 4 and only have two episodes to go.

After that, it's time to watch Season 5 for the first time as I was on a deployment when it was originally shown om UK TV and I've never seen it.

I really wish he had been able to make season 5 the way it was intended and not a last minute re-write it was supposed to be the second half of the shadow war and the end of the EA civil war, but they condensed that all into season 4 because they thought the show got cancelled until the last minute. even so season 5 had some of the most powerful episodes of the series even if the overall season was not as enthralling as the previous. the final episode- "sleeping in light" is still one of the best.

Some of the best give/take of any scifi show. JMS really knew how to give each character the ability to grow. But I always liked Andreas Katsulas in everything I've seen him in.

Rewrite was effect of 3 or so episodes. Shadow war was always going to end in s4. Do you know what episode was going to be end of s4? The one where sheridan is being held in custody and tortured. Civil war was going to end ep 3 or 4 of season 5. You are waaaaaaay exaggerating effect of rewrite. S5 was always going to focus on post-civil war. That follows the 5 step story arc structure b5 followed.

Also pouring some beer on the ground for Jester, PlasticTrees, and then Craig Gallant and Paul Carrick (a.k.a. nightserpent) for their talented modelling threads during the EZboard era.

I'll even say the names of Drew Riggio and Ed Maule with rare and unheard of fondness directed towards them.
