Hey,

When editing a post (via the double-click the post method, not by clicking edit) twice now when submitting the changes I get this:

Like the inside of my post becomes a window to another Dakka, with all that code gobbledegook there.

Weird, no?

It also doesn't save the changes you made if you reload the page, although if you go to edit the post the saved changes are there. Even CTRL-F5 doesn't show the updated post. I had to click 'Edit', where it had saved the changes shown, and click submit there for the thread to show the change.

Can you get me the full error message please - then I can find the underlying cause. Thought I'd fixed this one already!

I'm getting what looks to be the same error as H.B.M.C when trying to post on the "Chaos Needs a Lot of Work" thread. Considering both of us and Not Online seem to be trying to post in that particular thread could it be an error localized to it specifically?

Edit: Also, it seems that the thread isn't updating properly. Although the last post is currently from Not Online, it shows the most recent post as being from TwinPoleTheory on the main General page.

Yeah, there seems to be a page count error in that Chaos thread. When I deleted a few double posts from what appeared to be the end of the thread, it brought some previously hidden posts back from the next (currently invisible) page. Clearing the page cache didn't help.

Arghh. My apologies if I have several repeated posts. I tried posting several times.

Thanks for that guys, this is indeed linked to the page count bug. I *think* I've fixed it now based on that error information, so fingers crossed.

Ummm. Just tried posting on the Chaos thread, and it still didn't show up. No error code this time though. Sorry, I promise not to make any more posts to the thread until I know that the problem has been resolved. I have enough repeat posts already.

Edit: Seems to be working fine now. Thanks!

It's still doing it in that same thread:

An error has occurred.

I just tried double-click editing HBMCs last post in that thread, and got the same error. Editing with the edit button does not, nor does double-click editing any other post in that thread, or any other thread that I tried.

When I tried to respond to that thread with a test post it gave me the same error, although the post was successful when I refreshed the page, and subsequent posts did not bring up the same error. Double clicking my new last post in the thread didn't bring up the error, but double-clicking HBMC's post still does. His previous posts seem fine... it appears to be just editing that one, and trying to make a new post after that one that cause the error.

Just made a post in the thread. I got the error message, but after refreshing the page the post showed up. But the thread didn't move up and is showing the last post as being H.B.M.C's, and there are 15 posts (including the one that I just made) after it. So, if anyone is relying on the "new post" status of the thread to see if there's been any recent posts they'll probably think that the thread has gone cold.

Bug should be fixed now and correct post counts applied to all threads that were wrong!
