That thing looks mega! Can’t wait to see him with paint on. Do you have any particular scheme in mind?

@Mr Nobody - that is a lovely dynamic sculpt… but what on earth is that thing on his face?

Please excuse any spelling errors. I use a tablet frequently and software keyboards are a pain!

I'm thinking about doing a Chaos Biker, but I only have the old cavalry base it came with. Not sure if I want to make a three bike squad on the old bases or hold off until I have a 3d printer and just redo the one I have built.

Okay, I'm done painting but not necessarily done taking photos. So this is a place-holder for now:

O think it's supposed to be an open beak. Hopefully, with a little colour, it will look more obvious.

Here are some images they have digitally coloured.

Glam the wardancer feels pretty close to done. I'm going to set him aside for a few days before I give him one more pass and do his base:

Now showing a Harlequin Dreadnought!

Painting total as of 4/25/2024: 33 plus a set of modular spaceship terrain

Painting total for 2023: 79 plus 28 Battlemechs and a Dragon-Balrog

Looking great Josh. I’ve been trying to paint stripes on trousers too but with Nowhere near as much success.

I'm not going to have a chance to enter this month, so I hereby donate my slot to my eldest daughter. This is entirely her work.

Is that a gingerbread man duel wielding bolt pistols? Sweet!

If you find the time to enter something yourself, you don’t need to give up your space for your daughter. We’ve had people enter family members before and are always glad to see the hobby spread to the next generation. Just let me know how she would like to be listed in the vote thread. If you just want to keep her painting under your name you can, it’s completely optional. But if you both end up entering, I’ll need something.

Nice twist to the classic gingerbread tale. I’d like to see the old fox try to catch that fella.

Here’s my own completed entry. Three rabbits I’ve made for a Burrows & Badgers warband. Catch them if you can.

Thanks, that's great - can you list her as Xvy14

She's really pleased to get her own entry name!

I have another entrant - Xvy14's younger sister, GG wants to get in on the action.

So, for "Catch Me If You Can", here's her undercoated Ork Blitzer proof picture. If she could get an entry as well, that would be wonderful!

The Gingerbread man has been undercoated, and here are some Work in Progress shots of both.

And for GG's Blitzer

They're almost complete - I'll get some final entry photos in daylight next time it's sunny. Very proud of both of them.

Finished.

Man, I forgot how much I dislike edge highlighting. I also need to figure out how to do glazing better.

I hear you there. Little over halfway through the month, and I’m not done with the first of my guys. Probably not going to make it with both.

Still need another pass or two with the red, and then tons of detail, clean up, and edging.

Trying for up to three Stormboyz this month - proof:

Undercoated next to the first one I did.

And progress...

As always, the aim is to complete one, and if I can manage two or three - even better.

@Josh - Lovely lovely NMM on those swords!

wonderful mixture of Bowie and Asterix

Having tried to fit legs on my jetbikes, the legs I had really didn;t fit and into the doldrums I went.

However, finally printed a range of other sizes, so take 2!

Not perfect, and still waiting for the GS to dry, but I think this gives me a good chance of getting a pair of riders sorted.

Please excuse any spelling errors. I use a tablet frequently and software keyboards are a pain!

This model is pretty much done, but I'm trying to finish at least another buggy by the end of the month. I had three in the works in the proof pic after all..
So these are not to be considered the finished pictures just yet

Calling it done:

Not a big fan of the model. Should have left it in parts to paint; I hate it when I can’t get a brush places. Should not be noticeable on the tabletop, bit I know. Not going to get to his buddy. He might show up in a later competition, or just slowly work his way across the workbench in the background while I do other things. I was used to Eldar vehicles just zipping across my paintbench in no time. But they are mostly smooth panels and clean lines.

We have about a week left to go until the month is over. So pick up the pace! Also start giving some thought to what you want to do next month. Open round, so anything goes (within the normal scope of the contest). Old projects, new hotness, last guys to finish off a project. Whatever you feel up to doing. Use this as an excuse to get some paint down.

Looks good Nevelon. Clean, simple lines. I like the metallic blue. Partial to that myself

Managed to get a few more layers down and the bikes are looking less like ass.

I think the red and the green one will go under tarps for scenery usage and the blue and purple ones will be used. Bonus points for guessing the colour scheme for the riders, who are currently on the primer turntable

Also these ones are supposed to look like ass and will most Definately end up as terrain

Well, I like it! What craftworld is that color scheme? I haven't played Eldar since 2nd edition.

Squighogs are done. There's no way I'm getting to the riders in time, so maybe they'll be Decembers entry. I'd like to get these based before the end of the month but we'll see how it goes. My first time using decals since I was like ten. I like the result though so I'll be using them from now on, especially for those stupid back plates on ork boys; this will remove a major pain point for me.

Good luck to all getting everything done in the next week or so!
