So Craftworlds are sitting on about 8/9 new releases so far yes? Pretty good if you ask me.

The current batch of studio painters are the best they've ever had, though I don't personally think the black to grey they've used here is as nice as the black to blue that they used to do or the black to green that they usually use now.

8/9 isn’t that great really for an army with so many old and finecast models. I think we’ll get more than that, but 8/9 kits for the so called ‘massive but incomplete’ Eldar refresh would be disappointing.

Well, the reveals show no sign of stopping, so who knows what else might be coming along.

Disagree. This is a substantial update even if we have now seen everything to come.

I tend to agree. Even though it's already a substantial release, would still be dissapointing if they don't update all the aspects to plastic.

Do most people even remember what each Harlie weapon did? Because I'm pretty sure no one did. They were so minimally different it was obnoxious.

I was so confused by the message since I don't know anything about tabletop rules, and then I realized I had copy and pasted it from another site

You clearly missed the bit where I said "so far".

Really wished they stuck with the 2nd edition helmets, these look like a fusion of 2nd edition and 3rd edition... and seeing as the 3rd edition designs were the worst it just brings the models down.

The objective of the game is to win. The point of the game is to have fun. The two should never be confused.

Baharroth was listed with Swooping Hawks in the advent rumours.

I haven't seen Striking Scorpions from any reputable rumour source, only the November one that has now been debunked.

Eh, not true. In 8th, they were power weapons, that was lame but whatever, it was also not that hard to remember. The issue there is that power weapons are boring and one is always head and shoulders above the rest. In 7th though, they had very different and flavorful rules. Not optimal, but definitely distinct. In fact, those 7e rules were some of the coolest rules GW ever made, I think. It's a shame to see Harlequins fall so far.

Note: as a CWE player too, I'm not complaining about this release overall. It's just disappointing to see Harlequins take another step back in terms of outlandish and interesting rules.

I mean, heads are plastic now.

Switch em with Guardians or Incubi or whatever. Or just file em down.

I'm kinda curious as to how they're meant to provide a benefit on the heads with the partial helms, given that head style doesn't appear to retain any element of a HUD to get the information from them on...

Ooh, I like that look.

I have to say, out of the box this is the first kit of the release that I don’t immediately covet. Some of the head mods do seem to help a lot. I’ll eventually grab a box unless they change the rules to suck, but can push them off to later.

Not that they are bad per-sea, just not wowing me like the rest of the revamp has been.

Honestly, i just think the only reason the faces look kinda goofy is that they were a bit too accurately translated from the old models.

the severity of the 'edge highlighting' makes it so much worse. Last I checked, 'highlight' doesn't mean a normal layer of paint in a completely opposed color.

I mean, this has been the house style at GW for years and years. Not sure what you were expecting tbh.

That they can get somewhat better at it over time? Maybe its a product of Duncan leaving, but I remember it being more subtle and with colors that worked with the base paint, not just stood out as a stark contrast.

Confused as to the problem. White and grey are fairly standard edge highlights for black, and the rest of the colours of purple or green are using a lighter shade of those colours. Again, fairly standard edge highlighting.

I didn't realize until a few days ago, but so many eldar models have this. Warlock and farseer have the bunny ears when they have antlers. The dark reapers do. I'm just gonna assume it's because Khaine has the big earred helmet. Maybe World Eaters stole the look from him...?

I prefer the helmeted heads, the Ynnari ones look weird to me. A bit too much like the Reiver helmets which I don't like either.

I quite like the edgy hoods though. Either way I'm looking forward to buying myself some Eldar.

I'm expecting any new avatar to have a similar size, but maybe not similar amounts of extra stuff, as this is excessive amounts of warp stuff attached to this.

Runic tactical "rocks" will be needed however.

Well tactical rocks are on the down but tactical statues made of what looks like rock are on the up. Close enough.

They need to look more menacing, and these sculpts don't come close to that.

Not a fan of the half helmet look. But there should be enough heads to ignore it. I've wanted new eldar models for so long. Now that they're here, my poor wallet is screaming not to look at anymore previews

Never really got a lot of information on the Reaper Range Finders. In game terms they were just a targeter that also negated hit modifiers for speed. Since Reapers have some sort of support system on their right arms, it's possible it also provides autonomous tracking assistance, like the smart guns in Aliens. Without a HUD you'll just have to hope it's tracking what you want to hit!

Dark Reapers have always had the vanes on their helmets. From page 10 of the 2nd Edition Codex Eldar:

The Dark Reapers' armour also incorporates sensory and range finding equipment, and the vanes on their helmets form part of this array.
