I am wanting to start a large army project of a heavily converted army. But I can't seem to find or think of one that sticks out yet. Looking for any 40k army idea other than orks. Ie, dark mechanicus, exodites, sisters of khorne , etc. The wilder the better.

Could do a pdf regiment of guard, using a ton of just kinda imperial citizen rabble and repurposed civilian vehicles with guns bolted on.

Please excuse any spelling errors. I use a tablet frequently and software keyboards are a pain!

I have to say Mechanicus Genestealer cult sounds pretty cool, "The Power Cosmic"

As another idea: Gue'Vesa Guard. Basically take guardsmen, add Tau pieces, try to convert Chimeras and Leman Russes in a way that they look "tauish". Rail guns instead of Battle canons or something, generally sleeker and more rounded forms, less rivets etc.
Can be played just as normal guard, as it would just be cosmetic.

Space Wolves with slave to darkness warriors of chaos. I have done some and seen others. They look good. Just heraldry and weapon swaps + back- jump packs.

Chaos SM using Necromunda Goliaths or AM using either Necromunda Orlocks, Eschers or Van Saars.

Is it clear enough that I love Necromunda models?

Watch Fortress Excalibris

Adepta Sororitas from the priory atop Hive Temenos on Necromunda. They're part of the Order of the Bloody Rose, but they recruit girls from the local Cawdor and Escher populations, so they probably have more of a John Blanche vibe than the standard SoB look.

Spoiler:

A little bit of righteous anger now and then is good, actually. Don't trust a person who never gets angry.

I have always wanted to do a GSC army and paint them like the workers in the Lego Movie. Orange overalls and blue\red. Have a display board with bright colors, a happy looking utopia, propaganda signs everywhere saying "Everything is Awesome" and other unity slogans but have a slight cult 4armed god bent. Then have the pure strains underground in the shadow areas lurking.
