Also? The title. Plays on words aren’t meant to be good. If your audience groans, you’re doing it right.
Anyways. On with the show. This is a music thread, dedicated to TV show themes which are always welcome nestling in that special place we keep our Ear Worms. If they mean something particularly special to you, sound off. But please don’t feel that’s a pre-requisite of the thread. Share if you wish, and only if you wish.
Right, to kick off, a couple of 80’s standards.
First up from me, it’s Jayce and the Wheeled Warriors. It’s just a banger. Positive poodle rock for the 80’s kid in you.
Next, a lesser remembered one, Galaxy Rangers. Much the same as Jayce, it’s a magnificent slice of positive and inspiring poodle rock. And for my money, more of a banger than Kenny Loggins’ Danger Zone.
Both are on my list of Power Songs for when that naughty black dog tries to stir from its slumber. Because depression is a donkey cave and music can be a helpful way to shoehorn it back into its box.

I remember watching this as a kid and it was always a treat hearing the sick guitar solo while seeing all my favourite heros on screen.
Also, very hard to forget Batman Beyond and its very distinct intro
A couple of the classic and best kids shows you'll ever get from Disney, the theme was right up there with being one of the iconic themes for cartoons for me back in the 90s.
As far as live action goes, this is one of the themes that stick out for me when I was growing up.
This one haunted me for like 20 years. I couldn’t find anything about it and was half convinced it was something I made up. Finally got a hit digging through Peter Cullens IMDB remembering he has a line in the intro:

Good lord... that does look like something out of a drug induced nightmare!
Good find!
Automatically Appended Next Post: Oh wow... the Dragon Flyz one is super cringey
They were trying so hard to get rhymes, and only really had 2.
Skeleton warriors confuses me... Are the skeletons the good guys? Love the classic combo of ultra-tech lasers and flying motorbikes, but having most of the combat consisting of punching each other.
Automatically Appended Next Post: And adding terrahawks as I loved the little noughts and corsses animations they ran through the episodes.

Please excuse any spelling errors. I use a tablet frequently and software keyboards are a pain!

my favorite show of all time has a theme song that is amazing. it also works great as a ringtone.
any one growing up in the late 80s and early 90s would rush home from school to hear this theme song. it let you know that you were about to have fun.
not a theme that under normal circumstances i would check in on, but its played at least once or twice when my niece is over for a visit. she recently turned 2 and Anpanman is her favorite show now like it is for many kids her age. while she still doesnt know all the words, she gets excited and shouts the words she does know. it is truly precious. this song get a thumbs up from me for that reason alone.
lastly, a heck of a jammer by legendary Japanese band JAM Project.

I once found a t-shirt for one of my best friends that read “I like my vampires tall, blonde and Viking.” She very much appreciated it!
Some great selections in hear, interesting how many there are from the 80’s & 90’s / how few recent ones there are. Not quite in the same “banger” category, but I love the theme / intro to The Expanse, has a real epic quality that captures the mood of the universe:

It's downright insulting every time the "Skip Intro" button appears on Netflix during A Cruel Angel's Thesis. Almost as bad as the total exclusion of "Fly Me to the Moon".
On that note, this is technically an outro, but the fact Netflix auto skips it unless you go out of your way to stop them upsets me to no end:
Also, lets be clear. In Japan, intros are TOTALLY what they used to be. A few great ones in the US still too. Gravity Falls for example.

Grotsnik Corp. Sorry, No Refunds.
...it wasn't till rewatching the intro there that I realised how strong the resemblance between A-Team-era Dirk Benedict and early-NCIS-era Michael Weatherly is.
