What are your thoughts? I personally would love to add them.

First off we have the 'civilian' GSC. Really GW should do some official rules and make them available to all/most gangs perhaps?

Goliath

Ridgerunner

Outriders
Spoiler:

Then as Necro is an armaments world what about common IG vehicles? I think this is unlikely but you never know.

Sentinel (obviously Armageddon enclosed pattern).
Spoiler:

Taurox, still possible I feel.
Spoiler:

Chimera. Okay unlikely and probably only for enforcers.
Spoiler:

Then finally who wouldn't want their enforcers to turn up in style? Zero chance of this, would have to be house rules and probably just an insertion method.

Arvus

Valkyrie
Spoiler:

Or maybe have their Taurox inserted via Valkyrie

I should add the ad mech stuff would be great, but I guess harder to justify fluff wise.

I doubt it will take long at all for GSC to get in on the Ash Wastes action when the models are already available. Its an easy win for everyone involved.

Casual gaming, mostly solo-coop these days.

It would be nice if they took the Rh-1-n0 back to its roots as a hostile environment transport and exploration vehicle. Given that primaris are now moving on to hover pickups it potential allows the humble rhino to be redeployed itself. That might work quite nicely with squats as well.

Please excuse any spelling errors. I use a tablet frequently and software keyboards are a pain!

I would love to see a retro Rhino design making a comeback! Well, there is the new upcoming plastic Horus Heresy Rhino…

Yes the original rhino would be a great call.

Considering the open-topped quads and widespread respirators, I don't see any issue with the open-topped Sentinels being present.

However, the closed Sentinels have the advantage of needing no new crew!

To be honest, given the gangers floating around with twin-linked lascannons, having something like a Chimera would make them feel worthwhile... Can't imagine they will be cheap though.

Do we think the new vehicle rules will require maintenance upkeep?

I think GSC vehicles make sense, I think Taurox and Rhino's with caveats make sense. But I think beyond a point certain vehicles are just out of scope for the game, while others end up feeling shoehorned in. I think fully and heavily armored vehicles should generally be rare in the game. Something like a Taurox or Chimera would probably be enough to use up your full allotment of points for vehicles.

Something like the Taurox came from somewhere and it would make sense there would be use outside the IG but I'd imagine whatever version is used outside the IG is a bit more conventional. Lore wise they use suspensor plates to cancel enough of the vehicle's mass to make it light enough to drive around as quickly as it does. Besides Van Saar that tech seems a little out of reach of most gangs. I'm inclined to think the Taurox would probably be the most appropriate vehicle for enforcers and not much else. I would be happier seeing GW cut a new kit that simply uses the Taurox's model assets as a starting point to be configured into a variety of heavy trucks.

GW wouldn't put these out just for Necromunda, but I think the Elysian's Tauros and Tauros venator would be appropriate for Ash Wastes.

I think flyers outside of being something specific to a scenario would kind of defeat the purpose of why these gangs have to make these Ash Waste crossings. So I generally wouldn't want to see any. Skimmers and speeders though would make surprising sense, since apparently the planetary industry is good enough that in Book of Judgment Bratt gangs from mid-hive are mentioned in passing as being spotted speeding through the hive on speeders. But I wouldn't want to see GW just pull something off the shelf for that. They'd more appropriately be something new.

I like sentinels and I'd like to see walkers generally in the game, but it doesn't strike me as the sort of walker an individual ganger would want.

I think the Squats would be the most appropriate faction to drive around in Rhino's. The Necromunda squats are suppose to be distinct from the 40k squats. The 40k Squats are the squats that managed to survive the tyranids and relied on genetech to clone themselves, they effectively continued advancing their technologies. While the Necromunda Squats are supposed to be decedents of squats that originally came to Necromunda before all of that and were there to help Necromunda rebuild some terraforming system. Necromunda Squats would be generally better off technologically than the average gang, but not as much better as the Squats showing up in 40k. In addition to the history of Squats using Rhinos from before they disappeared from the game Rhinos represent something just enough more advanced and not overly so.

That said it isn't hard to imagine the Van Saar could build Rhino given their partially working STC.
