How do!

So with Ash Wastes out in mere hours, and my endearing love for pop culture heavy Necromunda scenarios to really sandbox the sandbox, I want to vomit up my own ideas for your delectation, and pick your brains for your ideas.

This is a proper free-for-all. Don’t want someone pinching your idea? Don’t share it.

Now, scenario is kind of underselling this somewhat. Whilst random and (hopefully) dramatic one-off scenarios can keep things fresh, I’m a big exponent of Wider Problems for the various gangs to have to deal with during a campaign. I find it adds to investment in the setting. And this thread is for both, and every niche in between.

First up from the morass of my mind?

Rogue Servitors.

This is kind of a way for the GM to get some games under their belt, playing an NPC gang. Going proper body horror type stuff, without saying this is the only take on rogue and murderous Servitors? Every so often, the GM rolls a dice for each non-champion level (as in Leader, Juve etc as Champion level) Ganger. On a 1, that Ganger mysteriously disappears, and is struck from the Roster. If the players decide to investigate, they find odd tracks. Follow the tracks, find an automated Servitor production plant…guess what happened to the Disappeared… And that will include Combat Servitors.

Perhaps one for later stages of linked campaigns, so the Combat Servitors can be proper Rock. But can be tailored to any experience level. Because remember GM’s, we’re here to keep it fun, not just ROFLstomp. Make it challenging (and perhaps a campaign “everyone vs the Big Bad” finale.

I’m sure others will shake loose in due course. But that’s my votive offering for now. Everyone else post as you will!

London

Every spaghetti western? So a magnificent 7 style defence of a village (you could be helping defend or doing the attacking...), robing the train/bank or more likely having yours robbed and dealing with the fallout, gang members getting gold (archotech) fever and betraying the gang (who needs badges?), lone drifters entering your town and shooting you up, etc.

I think its worth noting that the lore has Iron Automata wandering the Ash Wastes, with their insane AI's muttering to themselves. Using them instead of Servitors, or have them taking control of servitors... would be fun alternatives.

The Squats on Necromunda originally came to help rebuild a terraforming machine meant to stabilize the planet's ecosystem... a plot implicating that tech gone wrong being what's made the Ash Waste even more of a hellhole... would be fun. Or you just have buried squat tech from that era rumored to be around... maybe thats the real reason the squats are out their prospecting. 10k years have passed and they're still wondering where they dropped the keys to their space ship.

I'll second the wild west stuff.

Currently I'm working on terrain/building for a couple different scenarios:

Barfight - a crowded bar where 2 rivals(either internal or external) and just a couple of wingman can't get along in public and...hilarity(mayhem) ensues. This scenario needs many NPC civilians(possibly a 3rd rival showing up to "regulate")to feel right. A single leader with 2-3 gangers feels about the right # for a quick game & expand as desired.

The Pusher - The dimly lit street corner is the domain of the "pushaman", a low-level wannabe narcolord, dealing dangerous narcotics and psychoactive substances.
This one is ripe for many types of setup. An Enforcer Sweep, Rival ripoff, disgruntled employee etc... the scenario kinda writes itself.

I've come up with more but they'll prob just be in the new book already.

In essence this:

A ratio of car chase and foot slogging scenarios of at least 3:1
