Tough call, but in no particular order i would say.
Kill team cacius game with such an amazing wide range of models, bits, and awesome characters, it was literally a box of like 10 characters.
Deathwatch kill team - again, LOTS of bits and items to have fun with
Exalted sorcerer box - a pelthora of bits and bobs for tsons.

To many unpainted models to count. |

The Kreig...I mean "Veteran Guardsmen" Kill Team kit is awesome. Monopose torsos? Sure. But near seamless connections where you don't need to greenstuff any gaps, and completely interchangeable arms and backpacks.

For the moment I'm going to go with the Vet Guardsmen/Krieg kit.
Why? It's well done, its something I've wanted for a very long time, & I can easily see myself building it many times over.

Sisters of Battle Battle Sister kit.
Makes 4 different units, has 4 of each special weapon plus 2 heavies. If it had a multimelta in it there wouldn't be a reason to buy any other infantry kit.

The Devastator kit. It supplies so many Heavy weapon goodness to be distributed throughout the army.
The Devastator kit plus the Tactical kit, both bought in multiples, can give you everything you need for a pretty awesome army.

While dated, to it's still the the battlewagon kit - it's fun to build, no issues with parts not fitting each other, you can switch all options and have them hold in place without any need to magnetize and (these days) you have all options in one box. It's also fairly easy to paint without having to resort to sub-assemblies. Close second would be the deff dread, for similar reasons.

7 Ork facts people always get wrong:
Ragnar did not win against Thrakka, but suffered two crushing defeats within a few days of each other.
A lasgun is powerful enough to sever an ork's appendage or head in a single, well aimed shot.
Orks meks have a better understanding of electrics and mechanics than most Tech Priests.
Orks do not think that purple makes them harder to see. They do think that camouflage does however, without knowing why.
Gharkull Blackfang did not even come close to killing the emperor.
Orks can be corrupted by chaos, but few of them have any interest in what chaos offers.
Orks do not have the power of believe. |

Grim Dark Angels Interrogator-Chaplain
|
I'm actually really a fan of the Space Wolves Pack kit. So many really cool bits if you want to make a Space Wolves army. Combine it with other Marine kits for maximum usefulness.
Honestly, all of the Dark Angels-specific kits are great; most are full of bits that you can actually use across your army. The DA Company Veterans kit is a bit dated these days, but the decorative bits are nice and it's the best way to get robed bodies for Firstborn kitbashes (great for Captains, Librarians, and even Chaplains/Interrogator-Chaplains). The Ravenwing Command Squad box has lots of nice bits that look good on Black Knights or also on regular bikers (and some are even compatible with Outriders or ATVs also). And the Deathwing Squad box makes some of the best looking Terminator models in the game, plus it includes enough bits to make your Champion, Apothecary, and/or Ancient, or Deathwing Knights. Nice and versatile. I might even throw a shout out to the Master Lazarus kit, as it makes a generic Primaris Captain with unique wargear options and Dark Angels styling if you don't want to actually build Lazarus. Not too many recent character kits have that kind of flexibility.

Leman Russ Battle Tank.
Goes together quick. Options for turret, sponsons, pintle weapon, and a few other things.
Can be painted as quick, detailed, clean, or dirty as you like and it'll look great.

I had incredible fun building the kill Team Krieg veterans. The different arms go on any torso-leg part, and it has all parts needed for a good infantry squad. I will have to get more later, even though I already have over 60 cadians

Honourable mentioned for the kroot carnivore kit.
Kroot rifle barrels are tremendous useful and the capes, vicious knives, pouches, bones and meat are perfect bits to add on to your vicious models.

Totally agree on the Krieg kit – hits the sweet spot of good poses, modern quality, and variety of bits imo.
The new Kommandos are really good too, but I think the level of variety's wasted on a kit you're unlikely to want multiples of – it's a crying shame this wasn't done with the new Boyz, as I think that could have been an absolutely killer kit had it taken the same approach.
My absolute fave though is the Killa Kanz – while it's showing its age a little bit in terms of how some of the pieces go together, and it could arguably do with more than one of each weapon option (not *that* fussed about this though, all your guns matching just isn't Orky) the level of variety and interchangability of the bits means you can have a whole stack of Kanz with no two being the same. And they're just great-looking models. Love those weird little bins with legs.

Hard to tell.
Most of my favorite kits (boyz, meganobz, battlewagon, deff dread, battle sisters, talos...) are awesome for what they offer but they are too pricey, which is why I can't consider them the best kits.
A kit that I really like and it's definitely my pick is the Nobz one. Yeah, I know nobz are a trash unit blah blah blah, but the models are awesome, there's lots of useful bitz and most importantly those nobz are perfect to kitbash the much more expensive flash gitz or characters (I've made 2 big meks, a banner nob, 2 weirdboys, Badrukk and painboy out of it), making the kit quite cheap for its potential.
Sculpts, number of options, price and kitbashing/converting potential are the qualities I value in a kit. And if I have to pick something that offers the best compromise for all those qualities then the Nobz kit is definitely the best one from my perspective.

The GK termintor kit. It makes 2 units, also an Ancient, Paladin Ancient, Apothecary, GM, BC, Librarian, Chaplain, Voldus (because no one notices the difference between him and a regular dude without a helmet and hammer) and draigo as long as you can get a stormcast shield somehow, Broher Cpt Stern(see Voldus),

Exalted Sorcerers, by a long ways. Amazingly customizable, and it's a pack of characters you can build your own way instead of mono-pose blisters, which they should do for every army but don't.

It was a shame it got the highest price increase through all the ranges when the last increase dropped.
I'm going witz Nobz for the reasons stated by Blackie. Ork boyz are good too, could need some more head options and a flamer I feel, but other than that it's a nice versatile kit. (The old kit, the new one is terrible for boyz, it'd be nice for a 10€ filler unit in the way you got those old 3 cheap monopose boxes, but since it has an even higher price than the much better old kit the new one an insult to the customer.)

1. Sternguard, loads of options, look great regardless what you choose.
2. Cadians, there's something about the simplicity of these that I love, and are easily interchangeable with many other kits
3. Ork boyz, not the new ones. I don't like the move to monopose, the old ones were perfectly serviceable, they just needed some upgrades perhaps how they did with the Cadians

What updrages? They have pretty much everything the unit is allowed to take, barring some options for the nob which typically are to be avoided (and there's plenty of those in proper nob kit) anyway.

I think he means upgrades as in more head options and bitz to change their appearances more like the new Cadian sprue has. Heck even adding different looking sluggas and choppas would be nice since you are going to end up seeing a lot of repeats.

That is a tough, tough call because "best" is such a nebulous concept and there are so many worthy candidates.
On pure aesthetics I cannot in good conscience name anything but the Keeper of Secrets. It's an imposing model that strikes just the right balance of not overwhelming itself with detail, and the shoulder sculpt forces my perception of it to keep flipping between masculine and feminine in a way that perfectly evokes Slannesh. It's an absolutely brilliant sculpt.
The other end of the spectrum, pure collection building utility, is a tougher call. I think the Custodian Guard kit is probably the strongest contender. Everything the army's basic troops can carry, and it can build two major foot characters without sacrificing a minimum squad.

basic imperial knight kits, they were built with magnets in mind (they moved away from this in later models) but one body magnetized in very easy spots molded into the body to make all knight variants and change loadouts.
