Hi guys/girls

Just getting back into 40k as my son showed interest and like the title reads its been about 20 years and it was 3rd edition I last played.

I used to be a marine player Ultra smurfs and then collected Dark Angels, but on my coming back the hobby the Tyranids codex was due to be released so I thought let's go with them for a whole new fresh start.

Anyways look forward to chats and info gathering with you all, see ya all in the forums

I recently made the jump from 3rd to 9th myself.

I started out by buying the new ork codex and used that information to figure out how to "port/convert" my existing models to the new datasheets.

As it turns out nearly all my 3rd edition stuff had equivalencies in 9th. So guess what? Since my play environment is family and close friends, no one cares whether I use the "new" models anyway so yeah.

Once you have the codex you can use the free core rules to start playing some basic games to figure out the rules + watch a lot of youtube! Then you can work your way up to buying that insanely over priced core rule book.
