I’m blown away by all the great painting in this forum and hope to contribute. Subscribe to be up to date with my painting journey which started in earnest about four years ago. Feedback on all posted content is taken with an open mind - I’d be delighted to read it.

I’m currently painting Necromunda Dark Uprising. The Corpse Grinders are pretty much done and I attached a pic of the first near-final model. The Enforcers where primed and inked today and I’m thinking about where to take them. Anyway, the GW models are always a joy to paint.

Very nice, if your corpse grinder is anything to go by looks like you'll nail the enforcers as well!

My hobby ADHD, mostly Necromunda, with a splash of regular 40k...

I'm really interested to see how your enforcers turn out. All that colour from the inks is no different to how I paint, I'm keen to see how it impacts the finished product!

Thank you all! The enforcers are drying now and I‘ll take some pics later this week. It was a very quick and dirty paintjob but the details came out ok. I still need to do some final touches.

All done with the Enforcers. Good fun, about 30 minutes per mini. I‘m in this process where I‘d like to get to a time/quality ratio that fits my needs.

A while ago, I noticed that I don‘t have any Zombies in my collection and after a bit of research, went for the Deadwalker Zombies. Here they are, snipped and ready for assembly.

I dissolved some Vallejo White Stone paste in water and made a rocky ground for bases.

It‘s drying now and sine the water has a lot of volume, I might do another layer.

Managed to squeeze in some painting. I base coated five of them so far.

The high temps make the airbrush behave very differently, I noticed. Lots of tip drying.

After four years of service, I‘ve emptied my trusty plastic cement. Although there‘s a new one, I‘ve glued so many minis with this bottle, it‘s a bit sad.

All done with base layer and highlights. I‘ll gloss varnish next, for the oils.

About four hours for adding and removing oil paints. I‘ll leave these as is after varnishing once they‘re dry in 2 or 3 days. Lot‘s of crimes. I should have closed some gaps and didn‘t do a good job removing some mold lines. Lot‘s to learn! Still, happy I got the chromatic complexity I was going for here. I‘ll take some better pics once they‘re varnished.

I assembled the two boxes, quite fiddly. I do hope I got all the mold lines.

Turned the small spider that was on the Drider sprue into its own model on its own base.

Assembled the Ogryns and these sprues do not come with enough weapon options.

Nice work on the D&D minis, how does the plastic handle compared to GWs?

Looking forward to seeing your Ogryns painted too

Thanks, mate. It‘s hard plastic, maybe a tiny bit harder than GW plastic. Easy to clean and handle.

I airbrushed skin, armor and pants of all the Ogryns tonight. It‘s so hot and airbrushing was kind of a pain, I had to clean the needle tip every 10 seconds or so.

I got side tracked by a new mini quest: some post-apoc terrain for playing, for example Fallout Wasteland Warfare. This is one of three kits of a broken highway bridge. I assembled the first one: the overpass ramp. It's a heavy and big kit (imagine the shipping) and Blacksite Studios uses some really old lasers for cutting the thick MDF. Cutting the pieces out requires a lot of force and the cuts are not precise, so there's a ton of sanding and cutting. Blacksite kits also never fit, there's always something off and dry fitting everything is important as you don't want to start chipping away when everything is covered in pva. Also, they don't make good use of the "sprues". There's so much empty space here, where they could have easily added more stuff. Kind of a waste, really.

The resulting model looks great, however. Great table presence. I added a 28mm model for scale reference.

Slowly inching the Ogryns forward. Airbrushed the bits that I want to be metal as well as the bases today. Settled on colors for the leather parts.

Finally got them done. That color scheme had me scratching my head a couple of times.

I‘m done with GW for the time being, change of pace: I‘ll paint the Institute core box for Fallout Wasteland Warfare next.

Thank you kindly! The sculpts are great to begin with. There could have been more weapon options though, they do look very much alike.
