On the site it says 'premium access to events'. Does anyone know what this means?

To those who have experience with W+:
I went to the subscription site to see if I can get the end-of-August voucher and one of the year 2 models. That seems not possible because it wants me to select the model when signing up, with ork and assassin being the only options.

So I guess I will have to wait until September to subscribe if I want the sorceress, missing out on the voucher.

Any ideas? Thanks!

Oh, never mind - they’ve updated the text in the article. You have to subscribe on or after 25 August to get a year 2 mini.

The Vindicare and Orc should get retired and replaced by the Terminator and Sorceress on the 25th (the first day of the second year and the day the voucher promotion starts, see below), thus enabling you to subscribe with the choice of new models and get the voucher.

Yeah but if you sign up now, you can get the Assissin/Orruk and then you only need to prolong your subscription next year by a single month and you get the Sorceress as well. Heck you might get it anyway right in September, because there are people who signed up in July already. I would not be surprised if their system actually doesn't notice that you are not directly entitled to the other one as well.

£10 voucher? If it’s a straight, no-minimum spend? That’s a set of shooty Leviathan arms for a piffling £6.

Sweet. I know there’s an element of false economy, but so far that’s £36 I’m extracting from the overall cost, and as I enjoy the digital content (though as ever they really need to put the Vault into a proper reader format) I’m not gonna feel short changed.

Other opinions are of course available, and no less valid.

The 3rd/4th editions of 40k had great codices for lore. The Oldcron codex is worth reading just for the atmosphere.

I purchased today. Wanted that termie. I wonder if the option exists for the purchase of additional models that you chose as the 'free' one aswell as the other option. Some good conversion potential.

Limited to one of each (cart restricts it to 1) so you can't double up on the option you picked as the free one.

You can't order until August 28th, even if you had a year 1 account.

Yep the new ones won't ping for a lot of people until the 28th.

I'm on the monthly system so that's when I can place the order and make my choice, though I won't get it until this time next year.

He's actually not quite as badly constructed as some modern termies... Head is still way too low compared to the shoulders, but his armpits are at least below his chin.

Frankly, I really formulated that badly, I meant more like the mechanical bits - the pistons and the lot, they used to look considerably simpler and different on older minis.

Year 2 charge just went through and I can pick my free mini in MyWarhammer but the orders aren't live yet on the store. Went for the Sorcerer but I'll be buying the Terminator as well.

I might even watch some Warhammer+ at some point!

Ditto. Seems I can expect my Terminator Lord around 15 September, which is nice.

Ah, good to know that I'm not the only one who hasn't taken advantage of most of the subscription services! At least the TV side has the series organised, but every time I look at the vault I am staggered how there's no option to sort or order the books, and everything just sits in order of upload. A search function alone is not enough.

Also worth noting the Chaos Sorceror at least is £24, making it £2 cheaper than the Year One models.

I can’t confirm the Terminator’s Buy Price, as he’s my free one, but I’m trying to source confirmation. And there it is. £24 each.

Eh, I did say I wasn't going to get the Termie because of Warhammer+, but maybe it's worth getting a year subscription to check out the content and get the Termie.

What's the content like these days? Is it actually good or only stuff a rabid GW fan would like? I'm not really down for content simply because it's GW related content, but if it's actually good then it's a bit more interesting to me.

It seems I was a fool trying to be prepared. I was on a monthly sub for year 1, saw it was due to renew today, so a couple of days ago upgraded to a yearly thinking it would bill me today - as in, add time to my existing sub. No, they've refunded me for July and I can't select my year 2 mini.
Have emailed customer support but ughhhhh GW why.

That’s a difficult one to answer to be honest.

However, keep in mind if you annual subscribe, in U.K. prices it’s £50.00. For that I get a £24 model, a £10 voucher (which will likely be redeemed against the other Model, maybe some shooty Leviathan arms), leaving me with just £14 worth of value to extract from the subscription itself.

Now that last bit is of course incredibly subjective, but breaking down to a quid and bit each month, I don’t think I’ll be left feeling short changed.

YMMV of course. I’m only offering my thoughts, not facts.

Fingers crossed there’s a work around

If it helps, I paid my annual sub today and was able to make my selection. But, it’s not let me actually order it just yet.

yes that is a bit of a pain..you'd think they might archive it a bit better. Old game rulebooks (sans all the rules), white dwarves, lore etc etc.
