I'm considering buying some Anvil Industry figures from their Regiments range. Given how expensive they are to get here in the US (close to $5 each), I am thinking of magnetizing the weapons and backpacks (maybe heads) to give me more flexibility. Has anyone magnetized these figures, and how did it go? I think they have pre-molded holes for 1mm magnets, and even sell them, which will make things easier.

Alternatively, what about using Blu-Tack to hold the arms in place, etc instead of magnets?

Have you looked to see if it would be cheaper/easier for you to buy their STLs and have someone local print them out for you?

I don't have a printer, don't know anyone with one. Comparable sized figures on Etsy are around $5 or even more, so I probably wouldn't save much if any money that way. :(
