Bought Shadowsun last night and will be painting her up in Farsight Enclaves colours, but was wondering if I can actually run both in an army.

I'm not familiar with the exact ins and outs of running multiple detachments, let alone multiple Septs/Chapters/Clans/etc, so my thought is this.

1. Run a Battalion as Farsight Enclaves
2. Take a Supreme Commander as T'au with Shadowsun

Tau Codex, Page 55 wrote:If every unit from your army (excluding T'au Auxiliary, Supreme Commander and Unaligned units) is from the same sept, all T'au Empire units with this ability, and all models in them, gain a Sept Tenant

So the Supreme Commander detachment is excluded from this so taking Shadowsun won't prevent me getting the FSE rules despite how anti-fluff it is.
