Still preferring the Red Gobbos from last year and the year before... but still a funny figure.

The announcement also implies we’re going to be getting a song released for them. I wonder how that is going to turn out.

I like it, especially as it isn’t a ‚Christmas‘ mini like the red gobbo.

Could also use him as a cheerleader for Blood Bowl.

Nice.

So if we get another band member each year for a few years...

A nice blast from the past, but what's that about them releasing a single, is it a joke?

All due respect, but I don't think that you understand what bland means.

It’s an ORK, in a top hat, with an “axe” on his back singing into a grenade. No respect due, it’s clear they don’t know what bland means!

I do kinda like it, it's a decent update of the classic miniature. Only thing I'm not so sure about is the guitar being behind his back, as it makes one of the big parts of the mini unable to be seen from the front.

Hugely disappointed that he has gone solo. I much preferred the whole band.

Though guards may sleep and ships may lay at anchor, our foes know full well that big guns never tire.

I love the speaker squig. It looks so uncomfortable and yet faintly bored

It is a bit of a classic rocker frontman pose. Even with the guitar behind the back it is clearly a Goff rocker, even the silhouette.

Bland isn't the right word for it, but I agree there's something off and uninspiring to me about this figure. I should love it, but I don't. Nearest I can describe it is like a high budget remake of an indy film. Everything about it is better in the technical sense, but it just lacks some of the magic of the original and I can't quite figure out why. Maybe it's the lack of goblin green basing.

Edit* It also might be that he's 15" tall on my PC monitor and it's really shownig off all the odd 'Eavy Metal painting highlights. Just saw it in the FB group and the model looks WAY different on my PC screen vs how it looks on my phone

Must have it!

Between the original Goffik Rokkers, the guys from Kromlech, and the band from Artel W, when I add this guy, I can field an Ork Benefit Concert. "We are da Waaagh!..."

Now I just need some company to make some Grot Roadies.

I wouldn't say "bland" myself, and I quite like it, but there is something I can't quite put my finger on. I think it's the face. Doesn't feel like there's as much character there, not as much of a groove, or parody, as the original lads. That could just be the difference in the Ork style these days of course.

Competent but soulless sculpting. Glad I have the originals.

It's the CAD sculpting. You lose all the imperfections that give hand sculpted things their "life".

Some of that can be regained from a more sympathetic paint job, evy metal style doesn’t show off “character” very well, it isn’t very evocative. A good paint job where he is under some stage lighting would do it wonders.

I thought he would look great for Blood Bowl too. In the Death Zone rules there's a Waagh Drummer. Maybe use this Goff Rocker as a Waagh Strummer lol. Hell even a Coach would be cool.

I think that's what we're looking for.

Computer assisted sculpting does not have to be this way. I just made the 4 fat boys from the Gellerpox box and they ooze character.

It's fun looking.

My hope is there will be other members of a band, and a final piece.

The final piece?
A concert stage that provides buffs to orks in it's line of sight (180 degree from left to right).

SM happen upon a world where it sounds like orks are fighting. They arrive to see the orks enjoying a concert from their favorite band and getting riled up. Next thing the SM only see a green tide of hyper aggressive orks fueled by only the most brutal music heading their way.

An obscure Citadel Journal had an article and rules for converting a Mega Gargant into a Goff Rokker mobile stage.

After Fury Road you'd expect the lone Goff Rocker to find a new home atop many a Battlewagon, I should think. The idea was popular before this miniature came along after all.

Nehekhara lives! Sort of!
