Oh speaking of rags

Post Apoc Sewer Mutants - Rags, tumors, bandages, cannibalistic mutants crawling from the sewers. Different from tentacle and crab arm mutants, more a realistic take on the idea. Jerry rigged and improvised weapons. The Hobbit movie's goblins but with a more modern/sci fi vibe. CHUDs.

Some more thoughts on a quiet day

Frankensteins - Steampunk flesh golem types, corpses stitched together, electrodes, weird pipes and hoses, useful for anything from high fantasy to steampunk to modern to sci fi.

Mad Scientists - Labcoats, goggles, ray guns, gas masks, steampunk bionics, odd machinery. Build options for the boss and apprentices. Maybe a hunchback body? Modular of course.

Lesser Vampires - Fang faces, claws, somewhat well dressed but not crazy over the top. Some half-bat mutations/shape shifts. A horde of minions for the Vampire lord.

Werewolves - Do I need to expand? No I do not.

High Level Characters - With the Frostgrave line there are tons of options for making adventurers of different classes and genders. Oathmark has some options for common other races. But they're all sort of reasonable, realistic if you would. I'd love a compatible set for high level characters, rune swords the size of cricket bats, hats as tall as they are, cloaks with collars taller than their heads, armor so embellished that Liberace says tone it down a tad, you get the idea. Could have a mix of robed wizard/cleric/theif bodies and one or two armored bodies. And some evil heads/weapons too to make boss villains.

Prisoners, Revolting Slaves - Rags, chains, shovels, hammers, mix of downtrodden faces and angry screaming ones. I'm enjoying Oathmark's Goblin slaves, but lets have some human ones.

Why 10 and not 15?

.Only a fool believes there is such a thing as price gouging. Things have value determined by the creator or merchant. If you don't agree with that value, you are free not to purchase.

Figures in fantasy plate armour. The Perrys have 2 great sets from their Agincourt and War of the Roses line, and they would look great for a humanocentric force, but not for other fantasy races to wear.

Just don't make them over the top.....This pic of Elric shows a perfectly adapted set of plate made for a more fantasy look....I'd love to have elves in plate, (and no skirts).

Scavangers - I just did like 50 morlocks by crossing Frostgrave cultists with Stargrave gun arms and loved them. Would love custom Sci-Fi scavagers/survivors in rags with a mix of modern guns and homemade stuff. Maestrom's Edge's Broken come close, but I wasn't happy with the guns.

Just want to say thank you to Star Grave for crossing one item off of my wish list!

Good job guys!

And it looks like Wargames Atlantic is going to cross a bunch off other folks too!

OK here's one I doubt anyone will jump on but I wish they would...

Armless, headless bodies - In scale to use up the extra arms and heads I do have. Just one little sprue of generic guys in generic clothes. 2-headed 4-armed alien bodies might also be good to burn through the arms and heads faster!

Judge Dredd models & terrain in HIPS

the Star Fleet Battles ship range, again in HIPS, perhaps with a sideline in 28mm scale infantry models and interior details for various factions in modular forms

from GW: more terrain in the for of the Osgiliath range, both for fantasy and for sci-fi, seriously how that stuff assembles is incredible

SFB ships in plastic would be great, although without contemporary rules they would not sell all that well.

(I have been enjoying the Starmada rules version)

Someone mentioned this in the Wargames Atlantic thread so I'll it here

Trench Raiders - So during WWI there were troopers with medieval looking metal armor and melee weapons who acted as shock troopers to try and sneak into trenches. I'd love a plastic version of them, preferably all Diesel Punk and Grim Dark. Mad Robot has some suitable dudes in resin. Armor, maces, axes, spike-knuckle trench knives, heavy pistols and shotguns, gas masks... What if King Arthur fought in WWI.

I've been kitbashing small TOS Enterprise kits to make a TOS era Star Fleet. Lots of fun. I would love a Lego style TOS set with nacelles, pylons, saucers and secondary hulls you could attach and remix to your heart's delight.

Space bugs / sentient insectoids that aren't clearly a knock off of Tyranids and/or Xenormorph Aliens. Both superb designs, but they've been done to death. There are so many other possibilities, I hope some sculptor out there takes the plunge and offers us something original.

EPIC! Everything I'm wanting for 28mm is in the works already (this time next year I'll have em already), including new Indomitus TDA, Beakie Assault Marines and rescaled SM Scouts (rumoured to feature in S3 launch box of KT21 late summer)

Been getting into Frostgrave and I would like to reiterate that a sprue that being able to get a box of the basic wild animals would be helpful.

A sprue with an bear, a boar, two wolves and some small animals like rats and spiders.

For what it's worth Reaper has most of these either are Familiar packs or on their own. The Bones Black and Bones USA stuff is as crisp as anything else on the market and easy to convert if you want a bear with machine gun arms or whatever.

That does look to be the best option.
Surprisingly hard to come by around here and shipping from the US is more than one would think. A big Reaper order might be worthwhile.

To Canada? That's disappointing.

But yeah I do a big order with them once or twice a year and always get freebys and presents in my shipment, definitely worth it.

RAFM is an official distributor of Reaper models, and I'm pretty sure they're HQ is in Canada-- that might be an option.

Now showing The Fellowship of the Ring, along with some Dreadball Captains!

Painting total as of 4/13/2024: 31 plus a set of modular spaceship terrain

Painting total for 2023: 79 plus 28 Battlemechs and a Dragon-Balrog

It is an oath we honour. Even when some soft southern burgher mutters about us, we know the reason he sleeps soft and comfortable, why his wife is able to complain about the price of cabbages as her most serious problem and why his children dare to throw dung and yell "Knot" when we pass. Shieldwolf models are bigger than Frostgrave so if you want the same scale they will not be very useful.
Here is the review of their Shieldmaidens and some size comparison with other companies.

I'd love more detailed, high quality low-fantasy models in general. On the GW front, well proportioned, modern quality plastic rat ogres would be great. I'd also love better plastic minotaurs, closer in anatomy to the TW:Warhammer game models.

Honestly TW:Warhammer really knocked it out of the park across nearly every range from Warhammer Fantasy, so if we could just rip those and convert them to plastic kits I'd be happy.
