Hi everyone

Hopefully a fairly simple question, although I can only find 9th edition references to this.... Can my allied Atrapos use strategems from the Knights index even if he is running with my Space Marine army?
Also, I assume he keeps his datasheet abilities but does he receive any other Knight benefits while being an ally?

Not from the Knights Index - that requires using the Noble Lance Detachment.

You only get code chivalric if the army faction is imperial knights, which in this example it is not.
You only get knight specific stratagems, enhancements and Indomitable heroes if you are running a noble lance detachment which you are not.
Any other abilities the knight has do apply.

To be 100% clear, when you use the Freeblades rule to ally Imperial Knights into your Imperium Army you do not gain the following:

Code Chivalric: This faction ability is non-functional because your Army Faction is not Imperial Knights.

Enhancements: Per Freeblades, your Knights cannot be given Enhancements

Noble Lance Detachment Rules: You are not playing a Noble Lance detachment, so you do not gain the Indomitable Heroes detachment ability nor access to the Noble Lance Stratagems or Enhancements.

Note that your actual detachment units gain their Faction ability and Detachment abilities as normal.

Only if the target has the appropriate keywords to be effected by the stratagem.

And since all of the Space Marines stratagems have the Adeptus Astartes keyword as a requirement that is a no.
