Behold. KLONK!

And from Warhammer Community

This crotchety critter has a hardened brow that looks like an overgrown pompadour. Cursed at birth with a permanent headache, being repeatedly battered over the head is the only source of relief for this little beast – but you’ll have to wait and see who is delivering the thumps until the NOVA Open 2023 Preview.

If squigs are not goblin exclusive then it could be some orcish Warboss, if they are then maybe a troll?

Squigs aren't usually associated with fantasy orcs so that's interesing.

It's an anvil squig. Big orcs wear armor. Armor has to be hammered on something. Poor anvil squig.

My thoughts exactly. And the leaked orruk character is called Anvilsmasha.

Wait, it actually makes sense.

Why would you carry an heavy anvil on which you bang your armor into proper shape when you can just take some unlucky squig with thickest skull and use it as the anvil!

Oh. Anvil. Okay. That makes more sense than the squig being a 90s Japanese high school delinquent.

Why not both?

Enough hair products and you should be able to hammer out some armor and weapons on a properly set hairdo.

The trick is not lighting it on fire.

I don't know what that is but I hate it.

Eh. It’s a bit silly. But Greenskins should be a bit silly.

I dunno, to me it looks like they're going for a basing Tactical Rock that can actually move with the character. So the ork boss can look cool and leader-y anywhere he goes. No nearby rocks? No problem, here's a squig that looks like a rock to put one foot on.

An understandable expectation to be sure, given GW's proclivity for tactical rocks. But you'll find that Pride Rock Squigs are angled upward. This one is not. Therefore it must be something else.

I thought exactly the same when I saw it. So what's next? Tactical Turtle for Seraphon? Tactical Cloud for Lumineth?

I doubt there will be any "and finally..." announcement at this event, but one wonders how much longer Blackstone Fortress will stick around.

The included 40K rules are for 8th edition, which remained compatible as far as 9th, and its gone a whole edition with the older 40K logo. And of course, the expansion support has long since ended.

Casual gaming, mostly solo-coop these days.

Rather a fan of the squig - reminds me more than a little of Growler the squig hound from the old WHQ expansion, Lair of the Orc Lord.

Was there supposed to be another Ark of Omen or is this yet another strange social media BFG tease?

The old meta is dead and the new meta struggles to be born. Now is the time of munchkins.

Not with the new 10e 40k terminator artwork.

Wasn't Valrak saying a while ago that we'd get an updated space Hulk using the new terminators, genestealers, and boarding actions terrain?

Specifically second thing you think of they say too.
Because first is BFG and we aren’t getting that then.
Space Hulk I guess.
Or arguably you might think of, random 40k campaign idea.

I was joking Another HH title is the last thing we need. New Space Hulk? Why not, as long as it has a solo mode built in.

Probably a new Space Hulk edition, possibly featuring more upscaled Terminators and more Genestealers. Maybe even using the terrain that came with Kill Team?

Could be cool. And expensive. Most likely expensive.

HH Space Hulk - two terminator teams from different chapters enter the same hulk and fight over the remains thinking each other is vile xenos until the very end.

If GW really try and launch BFG again while they're also trying to launch Epic and the Old World and while they're struggling to fulfil basic orders I'm going to be highly skeptical.

Yes but in one of his latest videos he said that is no longer is the case (at least for Kill Team).
The second Kill team box after the Scouts vs Scorpions one will apparently be about flying units

If I recall correctly last, when 2nd edition Space Hulk was released both the Terminators and the Genestealers had recently got updated models. The Terminators were all new, whereas the Genestealers had a new set of arms.

Fast forward to 2023, and both have new models at the same time... it'd be very tude kf GW to not give us a new Space Hulk.

The objective of the game is to win. The point of the game is to have fun. The two should never be confused.

This. GW is already juggling more balls than they can handle right now.

As much as I would love to get my hands on TOW today rather than tomorrow, with LI already massively delayed I do not see yet another game happening for some time. A new SH on the other hand would have the benefit of being a single product, without any need for follow-ups.
