Its perfectly normal for someone that doesnt play HH to not know about the roadmap tho, and why in the feth did the video not START with the HH logo?

Others didn't start with logo either. Hh isnt special snowflake

no i mean all the vids should start with the logo of their respective game

Fulgrim is fantastic. Will he be a resin model produced and sold by Forge World? I'm not very into 30k, so don't really know how that release model works.

Yes. Resin, part of the 30k range from FW.

Thanks. I doubt I'm willing to pay the price they'll ask for it then, considering I would at best use it as a substitute in 40k.

I was a little surprised when they said 30k/resin. I figure it was just a matter of time before we got a plastic demon primarch and Emperor’s Children codex for 40k. Need to round out the gods, and we have the other 3. At first sight on the pic I thought “it’s happening” but with Fulgrim in resin, how long are we going to have to wait now? Because if we are lucky, it will be the same model, just in plastic.

Because that model does look amazing.

We just got two Chaos Primarchs in plastic in the first half of the year. Another one so soon is exceedingly unrealistic.

The three Daemon Primarchs have been a little over two and a half years apart from each other, give or take. It's enough of a precedent not to expect plastic Fulgrim before the final third of the edition, much like Angron. Might even get pushed back another half year to put Emprah's Kiddies in the 11th ed starter box.

I don't think resin Fulgrim will have any impact on the release of plastic Fulgrim. Resin Lionel was way late to the party and that didn't stop plastic Lionel from getting release fairly close after, relatively speaking. The big issue that keeps Fulgrim from getting a plastic model isn't his resin version, but the lack of a model range for his legion in 40k.

Also just as a reminder, we shouldn't assume that there's a need to round out the gods. GW has screwed Slaanesh over time and again, mostly recently in Warcry. It's always risky to bet on Slaanesh getting stuff after the other three gods have been taken care of. GW doesn't work that way, even though they should.

Those Gorgers could also easly double as other nasty monsters in Rangers and other mini agnostic games, especially fantasy but even sf could find some use for them.

You mean the game whose season was set in a Realm that Slaanesh's followers aren't super active in?

Frankly, I'm more shocked we did not see a Skaven Warcry band.

With Fulgrim, much like Angron, it's likely that the lack of models for the Legion isn't the issue--it's that they aren't ready to pull the trigger on it yet.

Remember that there was just as much World Eater presence via Kharn and the single box of Berzerkers as there is currently for EC with Bile and Lucius...if not more, considering there's also that singular Noise Marine and the upgrade kit.

Frankly, even with the roadmap, it should have been branded as "FORGE WORLD" in the video.

The specific excuse is irrelevant to my point. Three Chaos gods got their warband, the fourth one did not. That fourth one was, predictably, Slaanesh. It's something you want to consider when you set your expectations for Chaos releases. That's just the way it is.

That's what I mean. GW isn't going to release Emprah's Kiddies just yet, so Fulgrim doesn't have an army to go with. The legion won't get its redo so soon after World Eaters, just like they had to wait after Death Guard and Death Guard after Thousand Sons. Primarchs sell. GW could release a new one any time they want, via a random campaign book if they so please. Wouldn't be the first time either. But they won't because this Primarch's legion doesn't have much in the way of model representation yet.

Also, did Fabulous Bill have a change of fluff recently? Because if he doesn't, he's a free agent who has no more to do with his legion of origin than anyone else who would hire his services.

And something you may want to consider is that this season of WarCry came not long after Hedonites of Slaanesh dropped...with a huge range to go with it.

You can gripe all you want about a perceived mistreatment. Slaanesh has had a great time in AoS. That they didn't get a Warcry warband when there's huge slews of other factions that haven't gotten them is a bit daft.

That's contrary to what you're saying though. You were claiming that they won't release Fulgrim because he doesn't have a Legion...while now trying to play it like they're really just holding all of it back.

Also, did Fabulous Bill have a change of fluff recently? Because if he doesn't, he's a free agent who has no more to do with his legion of origin than anyone else who would hire his services.

You mean like Ahriman, Typhus, and Kharn the Betrayer?

They seem to be slowly folding some of the "renegades/outcasts" back into the fold of the main Legions.

Yeah, some of the Horrors there could be well represented by the Gorgers but judging by the art also some of the mutated warbands.

I said they don't have a model range. You may consider a character and an upgrade kit designed for the previous generation of Chaos Marines a model range. I don't. Neither does GW if the other god-aligned legions are anything to go by.

Never mind. I'll just comment instead on the things I liked:

The Scouts looked cool. And oh boy more Idoneth!

My one gripe about the Scouts would be the same I have about the Kasrkin and several of the Warcry/KT/Underworld sets:
They don't push it far enough, ruleswise, to bring something truly unique to the table.

Having Scouts be a 4 model unit with a 'detached' sniper? That would be aces. Same for Kasrkin with their Sniper+Demo models.

Arguably worse off, as the only delineation kit wise for Emperor’s Children was three sonic weapons pack in.

That was it. It was a step back from the inherently sonic armed 2nd Ed squad.

So I finally caught up!

Overall looks like a really solid set of reveals - I'm most excited by the new Underworlds Warband for Slaanesh as I feel they've really pushed out a bit from their design comfort and given us some really creepy more twisted mutated models that we've honestly not seen from slaanesh in a long while. So that's really sweet to see.

I also like seeing more pets and water elves!

New Fulgrim looks awesome and I hope he heralds a potential year where GW release the 40K version of Marine army for Slaanesh (yes I know he's 30K but one can hope there's some tie-in in design choices). Really amazing, kinda makes me wish FW would do a Morathi model!

The new Orruks I like and they reinforce my view that GW should split the Orruk army into two distinct separate forces. One for the beefy "I'm a 40K ork in Fantasy) line and one of the darker, more sinister ones that are just worlds apart in aesthetics.

Back from work and what a good surprise to see so many new minis and reveals.

My favourites in the correct order are Terminators, Ironjawz, Oldworld, assault intercessors, scouts, troll king.

The stinkers are Chapter heroes, Bloodbowl, warcry and HH.

The termis looks lot of fun to paint with not too much silly details for the sake of details, the options seem nice to use on the Leviathan ones.
Ironjawz I thought I had all the models I could ever want, guess I was wrong. Wicked sculpts!

Lots of good stuff all around for everyone ( except necromunda).

Nova open seems to have been a good event.

Yes, they can? A Scout is just an Initiate.

In background, the two gets-even-bigger primaris organs are third and fourth of the 21 surgeries. A primaris neophyte is bigger than a firstborn neophyte even before they are assigned to a scout squad.

In real life, primaris are a range update and everything is getting retired regardless of what the background would supposedly say, even though in this case they had set it up as fluffy by 2020

I’m very glad there’s no sniper blob any more. That was always due to the rules, and you’d think a sniper would be one guy who can do 7 wounds, not a ten of them plinking like hunters in Peter and the Wolf

the plastic scouts were an ugly, fast food version of the metal scouts and were always a stain. We’d be lucky if they tried interesting things like AoS
