Yeah that's a bit rich for my blood. I like the hoodie. Enough that i'd probably get that if were available separately.

The value would hinge on whether that hoodie and t-shirt are worth the money, and I'm willing to bet no.

It won’t let me change the price, is it UK only? But I also not sure I want to know. That’s pricy for what you get.

I'm gonna be that guy and say that a poster celebrating 40 years of Warhammer featuring no less than five Stormcast characters feels somewhat off. And I generally like Stormcasts.

There's also a number of Warhammer art pieces I find more iconic than many of the selected ones, but that's a matter of personal taste, so I'll give them a pass for it.

It looks like a single character from the cover art of each starter box/book edition of 40K, WH:Fantasy and AoS. Which is a nice touch in of itself but fortunately/unfortunately means it's very heavy on the Stormcast & Ultramarines.

Some decent things, quite like the poster and the actual box itself, but £125 for it is a bit absurd.

I thought the same. 5 Stormcast and the 40k side being nothing but Space Marines (several of which are Primaris Marines) take away from ithe whole "celebrating 40 years of warhammer thing" to me.

Although, could it be that they're from the box set artwork from each edition? That would explain it if so.

The Warhammer Plus Merch Code isn't working with the box. And shipping to the EU is a whopping 33€. So 173€ straight for the box. This is beyond crazy. For 112€ + reasonable shipping fee I would have bought the package.

Well, it does say "This item is excluded from all promotional offers".

Yes, it does. But this isn't ebay or another site full of dubious actors where I generally feel compelled to study the whole description in detail. So it came as an unpleasant surprise nonetheless. One less snap purchase for GW.

Kind of. The wide Sigmarine in the top center is from the Dominion (3rd ed launch box) cover. Horse hair Sigmarine in the top right is on the starter set cover. Punk Sigmarine below is also from 3rd ed. Not sure if she's on a limited edition or normal rulebook cover. Magic Sigmarine in the bottom right is from 2nd ed and probably from the starter box cover, but I don't remember that well enough to say for sure. Mounted Sigmarine in front of her is from the 1st ed cover.

The intention seems clear to draw from what could be considered the face of an edition to make the collage, but there's still a bit of choice there who gets to make it in the picture, and double dipping is apparently allowed.

Making out like GW is at fault because you didn't bother to read the description where it's clearly said is just odd.

The insane price is GW's 'fault'. That the WH+ voucher has even less value is GW's 'fault'. That I was ready to purchase the box and didn't is stop to read the fineprint before going to the checkout is definitely my 'fault'. Though 'fault' is a little bit too harsh a word in all of these cases. Bottomline is that GW could have sold one more box, but didn't.

Yeah, that's not a very attractive box. I don't hate the hoody but the poster looks awful, and the mug is super generic.

Shouldn't this be renamed the last 4 years of Warhammer, barely see the other 36 years worth of stuff with all the Primaris and Stormcast art being shown.

Well that Votann is the new model for the celebration. They don’t want to lock that into a big box.

Either way this kit will sell out.

I would have bought an updated mini-diorama of Harry smashing that poor skellie. Or an old school Beakie fighting a WHFB version of the White Dwarf.

Those things would press my nostalgia button.

This collection of merch feels more like a group photo for a ‘personalise your advertising tat’ site.

I was going to grab the box, I'd never looked at the merch site before I saw that go up online and before I even tried to read the description a pop up saying 'get 10% off by signing up to the mailing list' opened.

Thought this would be a nice saver for an overpriced item, but turns out its not available for the box.

Would have liked the hoodie for work, but at at €140 + postage, I'd be better buying single items with the discount. The box and mug would have been 'useful', but the rest of the items would have just sat in the clutter cupboard where all the GW promotional items seem to end up!

This is exactly the kind of stuff...
That I'm already have huge piles of I'm trying to dispose of short of just throwing it all in the dumpster.
I would probably buy the T-Shirt if it was available separately, but I need another coffee mug, like I need another hole in my head.

Is this honestly the best they could come up with to celebrate the 40?

It is full of garbage, even if most of that were free I'd feel ripped off.

The objective of the game is to win. The point of the game is to have fun. The two should never be confused.

Feels more like a marketing campaign for current GW than a celebration of 40 years of Warhammer for the fans. Half of it being Primaris Marines or fantasy Marines make me lose all interest. If they removed most of those new additions for some Eldar, Orcs. Necrons, Chaos, Ogres or anything then maybe. 40k being only represented by Space Marines feels a bit weird. Not even the wider imperium is shown.

That all looks like crap from redbubble. Cheap mug, cheap hoodie, a couple of bits of cardboard, some stickers, and a notepad?

I bet you chalk to cheese that I could buy the substance of everything there for about £30 in other designs, and for about £3 wholesale plain. It looks like what I'd expect from a free goodie bag.
