Cool stuff. Gambit's coat makes it hard to tell, but it feels like your Man Thing is on too small of a base. He's got a pretty big footprint that's a big part of his kit.

It is a 3d print that didn't come on a base, so i used one of the scenic bases i had in my bits boxes, it is slightly smaller, but it isn't a big issue for our group

Oh, I more mean that you're cheating yourself out of what he does. He's on a 50 mm normally which helps with his otherwise abysmal speed and gives his control area a significant boost.

The model that looks like he's on too big of a base is Warlock.

Started the day with a 20 point game against spider friends with my mix of add characters.

The first few turns were a big back and forth, but i managed to score all the red and half the blue objectives on turn 4 putting me all the way up to 16 on points.









The second game was against Xmen for a little 4 on 4 level 17 mission -
It was a much closer game with both sides loosing half their force.

It was my turn to set up the table this week.

As we all like inviting tables, we try to put enough terrain on the table to make it look realistic (no planet empty parking lot).



This game was a classic battle-20 point game of X-men VS brotherhood of mutants...and a friend, he got his new model of gladiator all painted up and put him in with emma frost as well as magneto and juggernaut

I started out strong taking the majority of the objectives...sadly warlock did almost nothing this game since he was in the path of gladiator.

Because he ran a few large point models he always had priority. i only managed to KO juggernaut but i lost most of my force in the process. on a high not rogue did manage to toss 2 size 4 buildings at juggernaut to help finish him off. the game went to turn 4 at which point he was ahead enough to hit 16 points.

For a sendoff, since it is my last game night for a while we decided to do something silly, use the most powerful miniatures int he MCP line-

On my side i used malekith, ghost rider and cosmic ghost rider for a grand total of 18 threat, the other side was dormamu, nova prime and gladiator for 19 threat.

The mission was cosmic hammers and portals.

Turn 1 he pulled ahead on points and spent most of his time beating on ghost rider. i returned the favor by dazing both nova and gladiator (well dormamu helped a bit with his wound/energy suck ability on his own team). Malekith stayed out of the early fight bouncing around the portals so by the time he took down my ghost riders maliketh was undamaged and dormamu was already flipped. he had one chance to do some damage to malekith and he managed 7 of his 9 healthy wounds and then malekith brought the hammer, i had some amazing rolls and dropped dormamu with malekith standing supreme-

The first 3 turns i was behind on points/captured objectives by quite a bit then i started KOing his guys. i lost my X men but the captains saved the day.

By turn 5 he only had sandman and electro left and he was holding 1 objective (turn 4 he got 0) to my 5 putting him at 15 and me at 16 for a narrow victory.

Did a silly one today-4 blue 3 reds

in a threat 19 game. he just got his phoenix painted so he wanted to run some X-men. i did a silly thing and ran almost entirely a threat 3 character force-
the only exception was rogue to get me up to 19.

I was shocked that maverick and warlock survived(both got flipped). they usually almost always die. fortunately for me i had some decent rolls of the dice and he didn't especially when he was defending. Beast really didn't do much other than run forward for an objective since rogue came up and just beat him down in 2 turns. My overall force did pretty well warlock absorbed some stuff to lay hurt on cyclops, man thing messed up angel, and quicksilver....well he did the speedy thing. running around picking up objectives.

Turn 1 started out neck and neck, turn 3 and 4 i held most objectives and ran away with the win.

How did Phoenix go in the last battle? Still waiting for her to be released her in Australia.

She was in 2 battles, she hurt quite a bit the first time, but the other player had some seriously bad dice rolls so warlock and maverick survived, the second game i think she exploded. i wasn't playing that game.

The brotherhood pulled an early lead until turn 4 when took down the torch and mystique as well as flipping magneto and avalanche. quick silver did the speedy thing and ran around capping blue objectives behind the brotherhood. rogue, gambit and quick silver all got flipped but no KOs on my team.

I ended up trading Thor for she hulk, and mostly just ignored the hulk, taking out black widow as well as dazing captain marvel.

We had 3 reds and 4 blues.

It was a pretty even game up until the end. we were 2 points apart and he pulled a last ditch effort. to flip klaw with psylock to pull off a narrow win.

I lost everybody but man-thing and klaw. i only took down bishop and flipped archangel.

Still a good game even though my dice kept wanting to roll hits when i was defending.

it was close up till turn 4, i never lost any of my guys, i took out scarlet spider and was close to taking out miles and amazing spiderman, i just wasn't fast enough to secure points so he pulled ahead at the end.

Got 2 games tonight

Game 1 was 20 points against Hydra

I got defeated by the scenario, as the 2 blue markers were hostages that granted 2 points per token allowing him to move ahead of me very quickly.



Game 2 we dropped points to 18 against X-force

This game had 3 blue portals and 4 spell books

I got really lucky on the random portals and only failed to get where i wanted 1 time, my opponent on the other hand never made one.

Angela couldn't make a defense roll save until it was really critical and walked away at the end of the game with only 2 remaining wounds overall.

"i am a (puny) god" saved loki more often than it should have, but even so everybody on the team had been flipped by the end.

My asgard force came out to play again. it was an 18 point game just like the last, this time around we had celestial hammers and M'Kraan Crystals.


The spider foes started strong and focused a lot of effort onto Thor. we stayed basically tied up until turn 4 where a string of luck got me 6 points and the victory. everybody in my force except Loki had been flipped, in return i removed carnage, green goblin and mysterio from the game.

We actually had the quinn jet on the table but i threw it at him

I had a couple terrible rolls but mostly i hit above average and he rolled below average on defense. he also didn't go after the objectives much so i pulled away on points.

When the dust settled at the end of turn 5 i had lost Thor to a KO, the hydra stompa was down to 3 health, cap had been flipped as well as quicksilver.

by comparison i had KO'd everybody but bishop not that it mattered since i scored 4 points on top of the 14 i already had for a clear win.


I didn't remember to take many pictures just a near start and an end shot (cable is behind the building in the first shot)

One of the guys i play with buys everything for MCP, he just recently got the new sets so i decided to try out some defenders with echo and ronin in the mix.

He brought nova prime along with his guardians, i lost blade early as expected when he got on the bad side of nova. i only had ronin and echo survive, but they were both holding down objectives that just squeezed me out the win on turn 6.

I'll start out with this beauty shot of my collection so far, i think i am about done with effectively 19 hero's (i can run loki as both of his versions)



The first game was asgard VS hydra. this was a knock down fight , i only had Thor left at the end and put out nearly as much hurt back at them. the turn that cost me the game was when Angela totally flubbed her rolls against crossbones.








Game 2 was a much closer game. we were neck and neck until the end with a 1 point difference. i lost the hydra stompa, but i took down 2 of his characters and flipped the other 3.

He won by running away with nightcrawler to give him the one extra point that won him the game.
