Overall awesome the only thing that honestly felt missing was a new Terrorgiest model considering that GW already retired half the model with the new Soulblight model.
the other thing I noted was that there were far fewer "epic music and model displays" going on. Normally we get one for each display; this time they launched right into models for several. Either it was "too much stuff cut the videos to get the time down" or "video guy is on summer holiday" or something like that

None of what was shown caught my fancy sadly.
Everybody seems to like the tomb king models but, while they are a big step up from the rest of the old range, i find them a bit lackluster. The horse for the prince is just...weird. And the heads are not that great (there are at least 2 more for the priests that haven't been shown yet though!). I was expecting a bit more after the amazing dragon.
ANY new models for tk is a great gift in itself though!
Oh well, this all saves me money!

The Necron terrain looked like 3D prints or Dungeons and Lasers to me, that's probably the item I am most surprised people seem to like.
It's baseline-cool any time they make xenos terrain, but this stuff in particular looks amateurish and slight.

First thought about the chorfs was that they were done with a design so you would not be able to bring them over to TOW. Looking again its probably the big stuff and "blunderbusses" that is weird looking.
Pretty funny they get a mechanical bull. They get drunk and try to ride it.

Great preview all around! Especially looking forward to LI stuff (really great tanks, was hoping for plastic Armigers though, and a bit angry that the balance update is sold us as another short-lived book), as well as the new Underworlds expansion and Kill Team box. I really love the design of the Chaos Dwarves, although I don't see myself starting an AoS army. I was also hoping for more HH reveals (such as new Terminators).

Votann! Oh yeah finally some more of the good stuff!
This preview was so packed and a display of power, no other company comes close in production volumes and I think this obliterates and increases distance from competitors.
Strangely enough after Spacewolves and now all of these new models for pretty much all systems are absolutely amazing. It's been some time without a stinker.
Now start prepping the wallet.

Don't really care about the 40k stuff, but the Votann look really good.
Hashut dwarfs look really good, they certainly went with nostalgic early-00s MMO aesthetic but they did nail it.

Given how much of a disaster the first Votann codex was, I'm very cautious about this one. Especially as we're less than a year away from the next edition of the game.

The most interesting thing for me is that there will be no marine codex 2.0. They said that the rules for the new characters will be online and for old characters are the ones in the codex

My thoughts on the revealed stuff:
40k Votann reinforcements: I WANT ONE OF EVERYTHING! And maybe two of some of the things. We'll have to see how the money's looking when they drop, but there wasn't a dud among the new things. The Hernkyn hover tank transport thingy is probably my favorite, and I know I can make it lean into my Votann army's theme of the Grineer from Warframe, as the Grineer have something like that in the game.
Old World New Tomb Kings characters: I'm gonna need one of each. Even if they make the rest of the range look kind of ass. I'll probably grab the book too.
AoS Flesh-Eater Courts and Nighthaunt characters and books: I don't play those armies, and I'm not interesting in starting them, so I can safely skip these. They are neat though!
AoS Chaos Dwarves: These are cool and all, but they're not for me. Hard pass. I'm happy that other people are happy with them, and I do look forward to eventually facing them in games.
Underworlds box: I don't play Underworlds, so this is an easy skip.
Legiones Imperialis stuff: Same thing, moving on.
Space Marine helmet: I like it, and I like that it exists, but I don't think I'd spend money on it, and it probably wouldn't fit on my fat head anyways.
Kill Team Tomb World: Very cool set, and I love the new models in it. But I don't think I'm worried about getting it.
40k New Marine characters and Combat Patrols: Again, very cool stuff here, but I've already got basically everything in those patrols and I don't play those chapters so it's yet another pass. I do like everything here though.
So overall, while there's a ton of great new stuff dropping, most of it isn't anything I'm worried about having for myself. The Votann and Tomb Kings stuff are must haves for me though, so I'll need to budget accordingly if I can. Honestly I didn't see anything here that's obviously a damp squib; it's all nice stuff.

The beardless ones are women. The last (or one of the last) sections of the article says that the head options let you build "a son or daughter of Hashut"
EDIT: Also, the Blood of the Bull warcry warband has a beardless chorf and explicitly says "her"

Why do the new chaos dwarfs looks like they are from a free to play mobile game?
There one WHFB army I always wished I had collected but didn't, but these new models do nothing for me. Easy pass.
Other than that nothing spectacular in the whole reveal. But I will pick up some of those MKii assualt marines for heresy at some point.

it's the quiet ones you have to look out for. Their the ones that change the world, the loud ones just take the credit for it. |

IDK if that Cryptek is redundant. Looks like he has a Wraith Body. If he gets a movement buff and a 4+ invulnerable it would make a pretty nice add on.

Loving the helmet - very much like the Star Wars black series helmets (i have a Stormtrooper black series displayed on a shelf - also have been known to wear it randomly around the house). Wonder if they will do an unpainted grey version at some point though, so can create homebrew colour schemes, similar to the unpainted mcfarlane action figures.

Very nice preview - good amount of content, and most of it pretty good too.
Can't wait for both sides of the kill team set to get their 40k rules out. Would be exceptionally cool if the Geomancer could lead Ophydian destroyers (all are 4 armed, snake bodies, linked to tunnelling).

Also the Geomancer was called out as being female as well - which I think makes her the first female generic Necron unit we've seen? If not the first female anything Neron in model form

When it comes to the deathwatch guys, do you think they will just make the Deathwatch Kill team squad generic (as in no more Primaris/First Born) or will this be a new Primaris version to the DW squad? I'm kind-of hoping for the latter, as I currently have 8 guys with Frag cannons, and I can have a max of 6 in an army.
