I love, love the white scar and raven guard characters. Primaris characters have been mostly great, but these are pushing the envelope in terms of pose and overall composition. Must-buy for me.

They were the winners of the 5 IMHO as well. Full of detail and character.
The Fist and Sal were fine. Solid, workhorse sculpts. Well done, but not going to knock socks off.
IH was the weakest of the lot.

Can't wait for both sides of the kill team set to get their 40k rules out. Would be exceptionally cool if the Geomancer could lead Ophydian destroyers (all are 4 armed, snake bodies, linked to tunnelling).
When it comes to the deathwatch guys, do you think they will just make the Deathwatch Kill team squad generic (as in no more Primaris/First Born) or will this be a new Primaris version to the DW squad? I'm kind-of hoping for the latter, as I currently have 8 guys with Frag cannons, and I can have a max of 6 in an army.
I expect the current firstborn veteran squad is going, and this replaces it. It would be nice though if the DW index got updated at the same time, and let the other primaris killteams mix in the new wargear as there are going to be lots of spare parts from these kits.

I bet they'd look a lot better with stumpified legs. Take like 1/3 off. It would be a tedious, high-effort mod though.

I'm a little dissatisfied with Shrike's replacement... as he falls into the "he looks cool, but will be a pain to travel with."
Hopefully, there will be enough extra kit in the new Deathwatch to update the Watchmaster or Artemis.

The chorfs get a B from me - they look a bit too close to a privateer press , or WoW design, but that's not helped by the paint job.
If the aesthetic had stuck closer tot he 'Horns of Hashut' warband for warcry they could have really been something.

Surprisingly, other than old world tomb kings, the only other winners of the summer preview in my eyes me are… space marines. Lysander and Khan are cool. Good new takes on older characters.
Previous necron kill team was a bit cooler.

I'm pretty keen for the new Votann. First time I've seen a special character and really wanted it. Looks like a fun project to convert. I prefer the new vehicles with wheels so will tweak those.
New Chaos Dwarves are a bit hit and miss. The new characters are great but some of it is blocky and horrible. I do want to use the bodies for some additional Kyn mind.
The Kill Team set is the standout, love the terrain .

I'm wondering how many people that want the new Votann robots will get STLs of Hearthkyn Ironkin and print them at 200% scale. I might just do that, seeing as I want tons of them.

So I'm stoked.
With the new Ironkin models, it's possible to build a small pure Ironkin detachment. The fact that those hover quads can be given exclusively Ironkin Crews is brilliant!
I don't know if the new Ironkin elite guys are too big for the transport version of the quad, but if so, even better. And the Ironkin character is pretty wicked.
The kill team box is dope, especially the deathwatch. I'd like to have Draxus and a Blackstar painted by the time this drops.... It won't happen, because I've got too many projects on the go, but it would be nice.
Honestly, the Kill Team box makes me want to pick up a few units of Necrons and run a whole damn Pariah campaign. I hope the KT trend of "This box is also designed as a solo vs. swarm" concept- they did it with Nids, and now Necrons. Who knows, maybe we'll see an Eldar Craftworld terrain set some day.
The kicker is going to be whether or not they sell the terrain separate. We'll know soon.
I don't like the way they combined underworlds teams into boxes of four teams. It really sucks to have to buy a box of four teams when you only want one. That elf assassin team could add some variety to Wych cults. In my campaign, there's a possibility that a male Wych will win the right to be a Succubus, and if it happens, I want the leader of that elf team to be my Succubus model- his magic hover cape is a bit much, but it looks beautiful where it drapes over the shoulders and the mask is just awesome- the Cult he would lead has as many faceless man models as I could muster.
I had hoped for something Drukhari, but I suppose it's too early for that. It is nice to know my male succubus conversion piece isn't disappearing any time soon.

Because I DO love the Character that is supposed to lead them.
Additionally, I don't dislike the models, I just don't want to take out a mortgage to get everything I want.

The new Votann models are a bit hit-and-miss for me. I think they are struggling to expand the variety while keeping a unified look. The Steeljacks just look wrong to me, but the characters are nice (although the guy with the nid carapace looks rather weird). My favourite is the Strategist.
I don’t play AoS but I quite like the look of the new Chaos Dwarves. I think a better colour scheme would have sold them better.
The new Marine chapter leaders are okay. The only one that really grabs me is Khan - I like his jet bike.

Funny I remember saying the same thing back in like 2013(?) when the Necrosphinx and stuff came out - "Man I'd like to start a TK army but those terrible old skeletons ruin it." Keep flogging those 30-year-old skellies GW.
The Chaos Dwarves are a bit disappointing - they aren't terrible - but they're missing something. I can't quite put my finger on what, but they lack the charm of the original design.
Nothing that floats my boat in the preview really.

Nothing really in there for me, the closest are probably the MKII Assault marines.
But I'm getting used to Votann, they still look like a Mantic or Infinity "poor man's Marine-Faction", but at least they seem to have a concept for them. Really liking the Mole mortars, if it wasn't for GWs prices I'd put them on the list.
When I read Tomb Kings I hoped for new skeletons, but oh well.
The Necron Kill Team is quite nice, those little Canopthek gribblys explore a different facet of the faction.
Deathwatch is okay, but the current models look better than these Primaris.
Chaos Dwarfs look good, for an AoS faction. That mortar would feel at home in Dark Mechanicum, too.

We've had had female Necrons since Xenology over twenty years ago. We've had named rulers of Dynasties, crypteks, and lord-consorts in multiple novels and novellas.
The fact that the Cryptek in this situation happens to be female (which has no more extra-narrative impact than the Deathwatch guy with the hammer being from the Wolfspear) does nothing to excuse the fact that this is something like the sixth or seventh [current] Cryptek model - she's not even the only one to fly or to not have legs.
There's no in-universe reason that she should require a wraith-like tail/body to use a phase shifter in order to get an invulnerable save.

The MKII Assault Squad and Deathwatch Kill Team were the highlights for me. Also looking forward to the 28mil version of the new LI Whirlwind, it looks just like the illustrations of 1st edition Epic Space Marine. Everything else was ok I guess, but no interest in yet another ITTD terrain set so will probably skip KT24S02 for the most part.
I'd wager Season 2 of KT24 will be 4 boxes of Necron tomb world stuff, this terrain set's going to be followed by addon scatter bits for the next 3 boxes.. and like last season, the "base" terrain kit will be available separately.. unless they flip the script this time around?
Least favourite were the AOS stuff. That "aesthetic" does indeed remind me of those AI-generated mobile game graphics, with that angular cartoony style.. The Eavy metal paintjob isnt doing any favours either. I wonder if they'd look much more passable with some grimdark style finish?
