Sorry for the noob question, but does anyone know which edition rulebook came with the big Age of Darkness box set from a few years ago? I have it, but I don't see the edition number anywhere.

I recently got the Liber Hereticus book, which clearly states 3rd edition, but either it is not entirely compitable or I badly misread the rulebook

If you want the 3rd Ed? I’ve a spare looking for a home. Because I’m nice, happy to send it on for postage only. Spesh as you’re already a bit out of pocket with the wrong rulebook.

Thanks for the info!

Don't worry about it; I can get a new copy easily enough. Hope you find a good home for it though

GW has an unfortunate habit of not sticking edition numbers in their source material.

Usually you can at least tell them apart by the cover art if you know what you're looking for (though even that is not always true - the 9th and 10th edition Tyranid codex books are extremely easy to confuse).

Here's hoping they change course from here on.

The Dark Angels Codex is the frigging same cover, except for a bit of gloss.

It's a mom and pop business, they can't afford new cover art every 3 years!

Ironic you say this in a Heresy thread when this edition does have a specific edition number on the title pages of every book.
