Hi there!

So, after painting enormous ammounts of Orks and Imperial Knights I finally wanted to make an army list to maybe try and realy play a game instead of just building and painting.
But maaaaaan this is so confusing and complicated!

If you are not interrested in my ranting, just scroll down to the list, because I just had to let of some steam down there... =)

I started this hobby to get away from the screen, to have more off screen time. So I bought the codices, and the rulebook in my native language and thought that would be it,
but no, everything is updated online after - a quarter of a year, so you have to use Apps and computers.
And you can get those datasets only in English - which wouldn`t be a big problem, but GW uses totally different names for some Units and if you have an alphabetical list
they appear on another point at the list. - So without pictures you can`t even tell which Unit they are talking about. So buying Books in another language then english is a total
wast of money and time!

So, after accepting this fact I started looking arround on the Warhammer community page for Unit Pointsvallues and even with the search engine I found - NOTHING.
So I searched Google, found some reddit posts with links and the 3rd was still working.

There I found a lot of Datasheets, even for non GW Models and I was happy -
- until I couldn`t find the same units you can get Datasheets for from Games Workshop, nowhere on their Pointslists, except for the Gigantuum Squiggoth.
But What about the Meka Dread, the Mega Dread, War Trakks and so on.

So I left all my exotic peaces in my showcase and here is what I finally came up with (not having played a single game and not having a clue, what could be usefull on the table against any other faction):

Stompa 800

Gorkanaut 265

Morkanaut (Proxy converted Knight) 280

Deff Dread 120

3x Killa Kans 125

1x Mek Gun 50

2x Mega Nobz 65

Mek 45

1x Big Mek in Mega Armour 90

1x Big Mek with Shock Zogga 80

That leaves me with 80 Points, so I can buy all enhancements, but I am not shure who to give it to.:

Gitfinger Googlez 10

Press it Fasta! 35

Smoky Gubbinz 15

Supa - Glowyfing 20

And I think I would pick the Big Mek in Mega Armour as Leader.

What do you think?

I have another list without the Big Meks and 2 Gretchins and Zodgrod Wordsnagga instead. Better?

Most of the models I just want to play, because I am proud of my paintjobs (like the Stompa - I read that it really isn`t worth the points...) Thanks for your opinion!

2 easy sources for the stuff you can't find:

1) GW (English) site, Community page. Look for the Downloads section. Select 40k.
Do not use the search function, its rarely useful.
Find the following:
●Munitorium Field Manul - this is where they list current pts
●Orks file - this is where you'll find info & units NOT in the Codex

2) Whaghapedia.ru
To see the Legends entries (stuff GW no longer produces - ex: meka-dreads) you'll want to toggle the settings to show them. Otherwise all you get are Codex options
Whagh also incorporates pts onto the data sheets, base sizes, & in many cases has a camera icon that'll show a picture.

Note you can only have up to three Enhancements total in a list.

Also, Stompas (and most other 500+ point models) aren't especially good. They're (hopefully) killy and durable for the points, but they are TERRIBLE at the objective game.

Edit: Which is not to say, don't take it. Just be aware it's not especially good.

Thx for your opinion on the Stompa.

I guess I will play it a view times - if it really sucks, I`ll put it back in the Showcase and replace it
with hordes of other nasty, angry green stuff
