I was just dorking around with making a list to use my Thead model in (since I never get to use it).  Here is what I came up with:

Haley
- Lancer
- Thead
- Bokur

10x Sword Knights

Journeyman
GMCA
2x Stormsmiths

It's an aggressive Haley list - she moves forward to get most of the enemy army in her control radius, drops down the barrier, and then the Thead pulses and most enemy infantry is smoke (-3 Def makes the Theads measly rat5 suddenly seem awesome).

The Sword Knights and Lancer advance in a phalanx; with the SKs in Defensive Line and probably with one of my two Arcane Shields on 'em.  That makes the SKs arm 19 which makes them pretty immune to most anti-infantry shooting.  Templates won't ever touch them, and even the Pow12 stuff needs 8's to kill.  The second AS goes on either the Lancer or the Thead, depending on what I'm up against.  Sniped Long Gunners could make the Thead's life very unpleasant, possibly wrecking him before he can pulse so in those scenarios he gets the shield.  Enemy jacks get arc'd scrambles to keep them acting wacky while I set up the big Barrier + Pulse.  After the Pulse the SKs move in for cleanup while the Thead gets to wrecking enemy warjacks with its electric fists.  Once the barrier goes up it probably stays up.

Junior is an Arcane Shield battery; then he runs around with the other 3 solos hunting enemy solos and unit leaders.  Oh,and the Bokur is there for Vickie to cower behind.

One thing that was pointed out to me was that the Lancer is vulnerable to things like widowmakers and Eiryss who can shut down the arc node in a couple rounds of fire.  An alternate to this list is:

Haley
- Lancer
- Lancer
- Thunderhead

8x Sword Knights

GMCA
Journeyman

Same idea, but now I have two arc nodes to make trouble with.  The Sword Knights are more fragile; now a single round of fire from widowmakers drops them down to only 4 models.

I'm also lacking a lightning rod in both lists, which makes the Chain Lightning a little less useful.  I can always improvise with the Lancer though; or even a Sword Knight if necessary.

I would not worry about WMs, that's why Haley has Chain Lightning. If you have to, zap one of your own models and let the CL auto-hit into the WMs. Poof, no more WM.

I would suggest dropping the 2 SS and 1 SK to be replaced by Eiryss, but that's me.

I hate Eiryss.
