I was just wondering if there was any list of names of who designed what in 40k

Like the Tau, Necrons, Tyranids, Eldar, etc.

I figure it changes from edition to edition. I know of Jes Goodwin, he did pretty much all of the Eldar.

Like concept art, the concepts.

Especially of the Tau, I think that'd be the easiest to get as they're the newest.

The names of the designers and artists are on the first page of most Codices.

I do not have the Tau codex. Would any gentlemen be so kind as to list those designers?

I can't find my codex at this moment, but I know that Jes Goodwin did the initial designs for the battlesuits and their weapons. He also sculpted the suits, IIRC. I think he may have had a hand in the design of the FW and tanks as well.

I'll look around and see what else I can find.

there's a Jes Goodwin artbook right? What's the content of it. I imagine it doesn't have the Tau

Phil Kelly is the "writer" of the Tau Empire Codex.

Jes Goodwin is listed as one of the miniature designers as I would wager he is in nearly every codex.

Kikko - yeah, as the very end of Jes's art book there are 2 pages of Tau artwork. Some of the drawings are the same ones in the first Tau codex, the weapons and battlesuit specifically. jes did design the basic Fire Warrior and Battlesuit, more or less.

The content is all over the place, mostly 40K related. Lots of Eldar, some High Elves, Tyranids, Marines, Necromunda gangers, Titan Legion stuff, you name it. I have it right here if you need some specific info.

specific Info? Hmmm, hard to say, I guess what sort of Eldar concepts are there? Is it his old ones? I remember seeing before some pics of aspect warriors with face tattoos

There are a few old ones, a lot of the original aspect warrior designs. Wraithguard - still called Ghost Warriors - Eldar Titan Crew and assassins... One nice thing is that they show his drawing next to the model, whether he sculpted it or not. There's also BFG eldar ships, jetbikes and falcons. That's about it for eldar. Mostly older stuff, from the 90's.

The exarchs have the facial tattoos now, I think, but in the book there are designs for warpaint for Reapers, Hawks, and Dragons. Very nice.

One interesting thing to note is the new Eldar shoulder pad designs were first featured way back in this book on a Hawk Exarch. Looked like Jes wanted to carry that over to all the Aspects now.
